Just a differing opinion here. I think yellow gold adds contrast and makes a diamond look whiter. For a G colored stone I think it would look VERY white.

I tried my best to scale the first photo so the size of the tester ring was the same before cutting out the elongated EC. With a width measurement from both stones it could be more precise

I think OP’s width is 5.25 mm the tester is 6.5 mm. It’s the closest approximation I could easily find

I love the look of the emerald cut without the halo. My original e-ring had a halo but I upgraded to an oval 3 stone ring without a halo (although the center diamond was substantially larger) and have never regretted it. Good luck!
