Hello all! I'm looking for a very narrow (thin) channel set half eternity in 18k yellow gold with square or princess cut rubies. Heat treated is fine (I'm realistic and also, at that size not too concerned). I'd like a vibrant colour - more red than pink. I've seen one I liked and perhaps should have bought (no longer an option) but struggled to find anything else. Most are too thick. Really, I want one that's about 2mm.

Anyone seen anything around? My budget isn't massive and I don't need any fancy millegrain etc. Simple is good as I want to stack it between two 18k yellow gold diamond rings. Thanks!

You are correct that at that size, nobody really knows the treatment of the ruby melees so I usually presume the worst case, i.e. heated, filled and likely diffused. I tend to see more pinks than reds though, usually because at that size, most stones tend to be pinkish rather than red due to the very short light path. I'm not a very savvy eBay-er but I've seen quite a few there.

These aren't princess cut, but otherwise it looks like what you want. I haven't bought from this seller, so don't know anything either way.

I think most square-cut eternities tend to be channel set, so may be a little wider than 2 mm because of the extra gold. If it isn't essential that it be new, you might look at vintage jewelry sites too. Good luck!
