You went into Graff!!! You are my heros! I was way too scared to go through the door. I need to find a partner in bling here in London. FI won''t come in with me...

Kaleigh, thanks!

Pandora, you can do it. Seriously, it was no problem walking in, and it''s not hard to walk around looking at stuff, just the asking to try stuff on. Who knows, maybe you''ll surprise yourself.

I just had the funniest thought of wearing the "farting flipflops" in there....
9.gif
No wonder Dee double dared me.
11.gif

Darn you, Ellen. I did run out for a slice of cheesecake.
9.gif
Btw, I was hoping you''d wear the f*rting shoes in Graff!

Atta girl.

Now, track down some really good Carrot cake and you''ll have lived.

And no way Jose, they were SO obnoxious.

Carrot and cake don't appeal to me. Is it an acquired taste, like Dr. Pepper?

That would have been hilarious.

LOL!!

Gosh, I dunno. Maybe...I just know I''ve always liked it.

It DOES sound weird, but it really is good. Try some.

ROFL at Dee''s shirt! I like that she went as far as to get a special shirt just for the occasion, even if she had to bring clothes to change into (I wonder if Cartier would have been as excited about letting you try on the goods with ''Axe Murderer'' on!
11.gif
). Glad you guys had fun!

I *did* think about wearing the shirt all day, but I was afraid I would embarrass Ellen. God knows nothing embarrasses ME, LOL. As for the service in the jewelry stores... hmmm, I can only imagine... "Now which one of you wanted to see the five carat emerald cut with tapered baguettes? Oh yes, it was you--the Axe Murderess."

Oh shoot, you didn''t need to change on my account.

Although, I don''t know if YOU would have been offered the million dollar ring....Or me for that matter. lol!

Thanks :) !

Ok, I was secretly wondering if you wore the shirt all day, DeeJay! Where can I get one of those? I would like to wear it to the next gem show, or even better, on a trip downtown to explore Cartier, etc. with you and other PS company, LOL! It''s too funny, when I saw the pics this morning at work I burst out laughing!
9.gif

Ellen, once again I''m glad you had a good visit even though it was tiring. I bet you looked smashing in your LBD at the wedding!
35.gif

Monnie, here is a link to all the merchandise you could ever imagine with "Axe Murderer" on it! link

I'll wear mine to the next gem show if you wear yours.

Now Harriet, get yourself down to the nearest deli and have a piece of carrot cake. Make sure you get the real cream cheese frosting. One bite and you'll never look back!! If you put a piece of carrot cake and a molton chocolate mini bundt cake in front of me, even with mocha icecream on the side, I'm going for the carrot cake--and THAT'S saying something!

Thanks Monarch, it was a good visit indeed!

That shirt really is a riot.

I am! You are too sweet!

This sounds like you ladies had a wonderful time -- I am still cracking up over that t-shirt. I wish I''d thought to wear something like that when meeting my in-laws for the first time
31.gif

Ellen -- what did you think of the Cultural Center? I got married there...we had the wedding and reception on the 4th floor (that red room) and the cocktails under the skylight dome thing on the 3rd floor...

But, then again, I wouldn''t be in love with the venue if my tummy were grumbling.

I''m glad you ladies had a lovely time!!

What a fun weekend, Ellen! Dee Jay, what a hilarious shirt! I didn''t get it at first, but what a perfect shirt for the situation! I was relieved to hear you brought another shirt, though! I just had trouble imagining you walking into Graff with that on!!!

Welcome home you, we missed ya!!

And yes, it was a fun time!

Harriet, yes I bake some, including Pecan pies as Skippy pointed out. But I've never tried a Carrot cake, I'd weigh 300 pounds if I knew how to make a good one.
2.gif

Thanks Irish!

I dunno ds, I think wearing the shirt shopping could have proved interesting.

Ellen,
I love pecan pie.

Carrot, cake, and cream cheese?
33.gif
The best way I can describe carrot cake is it is moist and sticky with a slight cinammon flavour and perhaps a few nuts in it, sweet and spicy...then with the contrast of the slightly sour cream cheese frosting = YUMMO
41.gif

Ditto try some

Cinnamon?! That decides it. Sorry, guys.
I loved your old avatar, but this one''s really funny.

My wedding cake was a carrot cake; it was the moistest you ever had!!!! I LOVE Carrot cake.

You should try some Harriet!!! Have you had spice cake, it is similar but way better! I am w/Ellen if I could make a good one I would be 300 lbs too! I made one and it was not dense enough it was more crumbly. I did the whole scratch thing where I made it w/freshly cut carrots and real cream cheese. I just buy a slice if I see a super yummy looking one!

Thanks Miss Ellen for you cutie pie welcome
