I can''t make it, either.

I have to bring my team to a speech tournament all day Saturday, and Sunday is filled with Chanukah celebrations. I''m so sad--this is the second Chicago gem show GTG I''ll be missing.

I can''t wait to see pics from the show, though!

If things work out I figure I should be able to make it. A lot depends on how much stuff I have to do for my folks this weekend - and the weather (I figure about a 4 hour drive each way in winter - assuming good traffic through Milwaukee).

Well Dee has to confess that maybe she got a little... um... "head start" by virtue of going today with an old work girlfriend and maybe buying a pair of earrings (which will of course be worn on Sunday for full PS scrutiny!

P.S. - Storm, you know certainly that my comments are always in jest and I would not ever want to thingkI made you feel bad. But I do very much look forward to you coming to a gem show GTG some day so I can meet you!!

P.P.S. - And valet is TOTALLY the way to go! It was SO much easier than parking over in that lot across the street in bumf*ckonia and dodging the traffic with the crazy cops in the cold. (Although some of you may miss the drive around the hotel parking lot I'm sure... )

Oh I knew I couldn't slide anyyhing past you!

I set out to find something less blingy than my pave hoops but more fun than my studs for just everyday wear. The ones I got today are kind of "C" shaped, starting at the front of the earlobe and going around to the back of the lobe, but not just a regular hoop. As for preview pics... tomorrow if I can find my camera, but otherwise you'll see them in person on Sunday! (And there is also a rose gold pave eternity band that I need an opinion on.

)

Oh yes, it''s quite the bees knees! I really want it but need an opinion on the width because there are a few different sizes.

As for that hubby of yours--what is he thinking, not making plans so that you can be here for the gem show?

Given the long day with my folks yesturday in Madison (3hour drive each way) such that I am tired; and the current and projected weather today....

I''m going to stay home.

I chose not to spend much of the day driving in a snowstorm.

I was really looking forward to it until yesterday when I realized this would be my last two days off until Christmas...and no matter how much I love jewelry, I don''t think I can spend my second to last day off wandering endless aisles of it, especially when it''s what I look at all day at work.

Irish, I seem to have misplaced your info or I would''ve called you earlier this morning and let you know I wouldn''t be attending. i hope you all have a blast, I''ll miss you and look forward to seeing pics later!
