I chipped my .87 center stone ( asscher) about a month ago and recently had it replaced thanks to insurance! My ring is about 9 years old and is a Carl Blackburn ( now beverly k apparently ) halo setting. The new stone is a 1.03 ct F color VSI. My old stone actually measure up bigger because of its large table but I am loving the new stone... Much nicer cut than my last one! I am trying to post pics of my pretty so hopefully this will work :twirl:

pretty rings!!!

Pretty ring! Congratulations!

Good thing you have insurance. I should think about getting it too. How did it chip, by the way?

I love it!!! Glad it worked out!

ps- Can you tell us about your sapphire and diamond band too? Its so pretty!!

I have jewelers mutual insurance, worked out great...actually got a better stone out of the deal although I am still sad about my chipped stone!!! I have no idea how I chipped it....I never take my rings off and have two young boys so i am always knocking my hands into things. More than likely probably on my granite counter tops. Apparently chipping diamonds is not that unheard of! I probably going to buy the chipped stone from the insurance company ( they will sell it to me at cost) and have it recut and set into a pendant. The platinum band was a present when I had my first son....my original wedding band is a size 4 and no longer fits me!!! It is diamonds and sapphires and was made by a friend of a friend who is a jewelery designer, her name is Jen Ruthany, I believe she has a website... She makes great stuff and also made my wedding band and my husbands as well
