Choosing between two Novos

Hi Pricescopers,

I am in a dilemma and need all your ladies advices! I am choosing between these two Novos

1) 1.04, VS1, color G: $14,300, Cut/polish/Symmetry: E/E/VG
2) 1.35, VVS1, color I: $15,500, Cut/Polish/Symmetry: E/E/VG

The price difference is $1,200, but visually it makes a difference with the additional carat. I know color and clarity mattered a lot but I wanted to find a ring that balance price, and the 4Cs.... Please help!

Ditto on the larger stone! It''s a Tiffany ring, so it will be a true "I", that will face up very nice and white.

I agree, go big! The Novos look great in all sizes, but I think the bigger sizes show off that setting better. I agree that a Tiffany''s "I" will be lovely. Too bad they couldn''t find one in a VS1, but it sounds delicious nonetheless!

I''d definitely vote for the larger one! It would be great if they had a middle stone such as an H VS1 or VS2, but I think the larger size in the Novo stone would make it worth going with I color over G.

Another vote for #2. If it wasn''t a tiffany stone, I may be include to go with 1 because I am color sensitive. However, all the Tiffany stones I have seen are white. My friend''s H looks compeletely white to me.

Go bigger! I have an I colored stone (it''s a princess, not a cushion, but still...), and it''s very nicely white. Unless you''re very color-sensitive, you shouldn''t even notice the difference! Did you get to see the two rings side by side? Did the I color even show at all?

Actually when I was in the store, they show me different color/clarity. I put G VS1 and I VVS1 side by side, I could not tell the difference. Perhaps I should have used a magnifying glasses. However, strangely when I compare H VS2, and G VS1, I can clearly tell the H VS2 one is somewhat yellowish. Not sure whether it''s only the lightning or inclusions magically reflected off some lights.

Yup, another vote for the bigger one! Personally though, if there is a stone available like this, I''d go lower the clarity and go with a H/VS2.

Yes, I think that's what happened. I requested the store a couple times to help me search for color H, and down clarity to VS, but they are shwoing nothing closer to the range I am given in their systems. It's just hard for me to believe Tiffany would have so few selections avaliable for customers.

By the way have any of you experienced when you requested for transfer, it's always your "first choice" got reserved, and few days later they tell you the 2nd choice also has been taken? It happened to me twice already. Perhaps I am wrong, but it seemed to me Tiffany often tries to get you to purchase the store items and a little reluctantly to go through store transfers.
