I love baking, especially cupcakes. Through the year I make cakes for birthdays, weddings etc, but I love Christmas cuppies the most! Here are a few dozen I finished today, I've knocked out 13 dozen this season and loved every minute. The minis are so popular! It's hard to tell from the pics, but the little fondant cutouts have trees and stars embossed on them.

Show me your homemade holiday goodies!!

I made some sausage rolls this afternoon, and am going to be making mince pies tomorrow, using Robert Carriers recipe. Rather than pastry, the 'pastry' is scone dough. I'll take some photos tomorrow.

Today I baked a homemade chocolate cake with buttercream frosting......but we already cut it! Oops!

All of your desserts are absolutely beautiful and festive! My little ones made some cookies with me. Not perfect but definitely festive. 9BC1AD25-0347-41E2-9467-189CB483BB8D.jpeg

My favorite!!!!!!

My favorite!!!!!!

You know, that fluted edge looked perfect before I baked it.....the pastry puffs up just enough to distort the final product!

(we will be having very odd shaped pasta next time i cook pasta from all the left overs)
it was very orange but Gary ate it :lol-2:

Today, I'll be making gingerbread cookies. :mrgreen2:

Oh YUM! Those pumpkin bars are right up my alley!

The only baking I do at Christmas is my grandma’s Christmas bread. Anyone who tastes it agrees that it’s enough. :lickout:

Please tell me about this bread.

Keto gingerbread cookies. I didn't have a proper icing piper and cut the hole too big on my sandwich bag. Also the legs were too short on my cookie cutters so my guys look like they're wearing diapers. :lol-2:

Please tell me about this bread.

The concept is the same as with any other bread, only you take the foundation of flower and yeast and add eggs, milk, yogurt, sugar and butter. Kinda like... imagine Easter bread, only less sweet. The trick is to knead it correctly and just enough so that you get the stringy, thready texture. Takes a while to learn, but so worth it.

My grandma perfected the recipe over the decades but she's getting old now. Several years ago I asked her to teach me. This bread has always been at the core of our Christmas celebrations and I wanted to make sure we don't lose it when she's gone.
