Do any of you include your pup on your "What to get for Christmas" list?
I usually fill Boomer''s stocking with treats, pressed rawhide and a toy of some kind...
I saw these on this website: Trixie and Peanut

Oh yes, Santa visits The Demon Dog too!

We usually get him a big bag of toys and treats from Costco. It''s fun to watch him dig around in the bag and get his stuff out. The first year we had him he was so excited by all the stuff that he tried to "hide" it around the house to make sure no other dog would sneak in when he wasn''t looking and take it. It was hysterical watching him roll his new nerf football up in a random piece of leftover wrapping paper that was lying on the floor and then squirrel it away behind the tv. (Of course then he went around trying to rip open OUR presents that were still under the tree, so I guess you have to be careful what you teach them, LOL.)

How about this for a stocking stuffer? It''s definitely PS-friendly!

My mom has a stocking just for her "granddog". And yes, the stocking is bigger than ours.

the one from grandma is loaded with toys and chewies and squeaky things. Last year she also got him a four poster bed, and a really cool reversible cord cape type thing. Being a dachshund, it''s kinda hard to find things that fit. This year she told me she saw a doggie bomber jacket.

We get him a lot of the same things my mom gets him, but we make sure we ration it out, otherwise we have a bunch of gummy rawhide nubbies all around. Gross.

portia has her own stocking and she gets her own gifts too of course! she's a member of the family! i have a few online sites i use for shopping and of course the local boutiques have the cutest stuff too. and she gets a replenishment of her fave treats. hehe. also we send gifts to other members of the family dogs as well, and they send gifts to P! she LOVES to 'open' gifts...so that is partially why we wrap all her stuff..it's so much fun to see her open them.

We try to get Sally something, but really, we're always getting her stuff. I think it's because she really does love every toy we buy her, so nothing goes to waste. I'd love for her to have a fancy new bed where she can rest her head higher than her body (she loves this), but all the beds I like are $100+. Don't think so!

Speaking of, I have a little snoozer in my lap right now, snoring away. Ah, pugs.

This is the bed I really have my eye on:

Amber, all of our parents do this too. The Demon usually gets more/better stuff than we do from them!

You bet the dog(s) get gifts! Our pap has been gone about 4 /12 years now (DECO I love your avatir! Mine was a little bit more sable, but your pap reminds me soooo much of "Jumbie "Sue"). We still have a 12-year old Italian Greyhound ("IG," miniature greyhound). The pap wanted clothes and milkbones! That''s it. She sniffed every present under the tree. . .found hers and wagged her tail. She was soooooo upset when we let the IG ("Tappan Zee") wear one of her sweaters when he was a pup.

These days, Tappan (the IG) is all about treats and warm clothes. Strange -- because his favorite "treat" is no-salt saltines. Vet says it''s okay.

For any of you "hound dog" owners (big chest, small tummy) -- I found something great -- hound togs -- on the internet. I don''t work for that company. I''m a lawyer. . .they''re in CA and I''m in NJ. But if you have a dog with a big chest and small waist, this will fit him/her better than anything else. (Bonus -- he won''t pee inside his coat.) They only do greyhounds, miniature greyounds, saluki''s, etc.

Wow, don''t tell my dog about this . . . the kids might get him a 99 cent chew toy or something, but that''s about it. No stocking, sorry!

Absolutely! Especially since we had our human baby, we can''t let the furry babies feel left out! They know all that present opening is about something exciting for people.

This year: New beds for both dog & cat. Catnip & new bowls for kitty, and new tennis balls & chewies for puppsters.

I love my furshedding fools....they are so dear to me & my hubby. They even have their own embroidered stockings!!! Haha!

The dog decided to give himself an early Christmas present last night while the happy hubby and I were out.

We had a bunch of stuffed animals that we've bought for some kids and we put them in the downstairs bathroom. One of us (translation: ME) is good about keeping the door closed when we put anything in there that we don't want The Demon to get into. And the of us (let's just say, NOT ME) is not so good about keeping the door closed.

So now The Demon is the happy owner of a new (now one-eyed) teddy bear in a cute little knitted sweater with a ski scene on it.

(And whose fault is this? Hmmm... Not MINE and not [really] THE DEMON'S... )

Anyway, Merry early Christmas to the dog.

we totally give Zoe presents. normally treats and some new toys. this year though she''s ready for a new bed so that''s what she''s getting. Of course I will still have to get her treats and new toys
