Closest Tiffany Setting Replica in terms of width & weight

So my gf really wants a tiffany setting solitaire knife edge ring from tiffanys but the price is ridiculous, especially when I have a family diamond that is of better quality than diamonds tiffany uses. The diamond she tried on at store was H, VS2, 1.5 C. My diamond is at least the same size but better quality. She is concerned that my diamond won't shine as much as the actual tiffany diamond. Also she doesnt know if the replica will feel same on her ring (i.e. band will be too narrow or too wide, etc) as tiffany ring. I know there are plenty of threads about which replica is best (excel, vatche, etc) but I was hoping someone could tell me which one is closest in terms of band width and weight? Thanks!!!

How well is your family diamond cut? If its not cut well, it very well may not shine like the tiffany diamonds your gf has been looking at,as she suspectssuspects

Also, in your other thread, didn't you say your family diamond is a 1 ct? Or is there another one you can use.

I have not seen the diamond yet. Gonna see it this weekend over holiday. I actually have 2 family rings so you are correct. the 1 carat diamond is different from the one I'm looking at. I'm gonna take pics of new diamond so people on here can help me proceed. Niel, do you have any replica recommendations?

I have not had one, personally, but from personal opinion i think Vatche makes the best tiffany replica. Im sure others will comment though that have actually had one. I get her concern, but i really dont think she will notice much of a difference on the hand. I mean, shes only tried it on a few times, yes? I find it hard to believe she would notice a huge difference in weight.

I've looked at vatche. I also really like a jeweler in NYC called Lauren B Jewelers. Have you heard of them? They do good replica apparently

I think you really need to see all of the variations for yourself. Pay closest attention to the prongs. Generally, the Tiffany 6 prong has thinnest, most delicate looking prongs, and the scalloping ends a bit lower on the head; the vatche prongs are a little wider and generally clunkier looking if you don't ask for them to be made finer where the stone sits. You'll notice this if you look at pictures of the Vatche on PS. It's still a very good "replica" and most wouldn't even know/see a difference.

The width of Tiffany is about 2.5-2.8 near the top. It may be slightly different depending on diamond size and/or ring size, but somehow it always looks very well-proportioned.

The weight differences probably won't be noticeable if the width is in the ballpark.

Edit: I should add that the Vatche width is very close to the Tiffany width. Also, I have not seen any other official "replicas" mentioned here. All jewelry stores have their version of the 6 prong, but I've only spent time w/ the Tiffany and the Vatche.

Both our engagement rings are Tiffany 6-prong knife-edge replicas. When we go into Tiffany & Co., the salespeople always think we bought our rings there. Our vendor is eternitybyyoni.com

Oh yes, I forgot out EternitybyYoni! I think they have the best prongs. The shank of the original Tiffany gets thicker at the top, whereas the EBY stays the same thickness. But the prongs are super, super similar. I would contact the eternitybyyoni company and see if they can match the shank better. That price is awesome, btw.
