Yesterday, FH and I changed our wedding colors. I couldn''t get this beautiful bouquet with warmer colors I''d seen out of my mind for a couple of days, and when I showed FH the new colors, he thought they were great.

Our new colors (as shown below) are sage, brown and cream with hints of pink and ivory. FH has mentioned for a while that he wants to wear a brown suit, and while I didn''t like the idea at first, it''d actually go quite well with our new colors. However, I''ve read conflicting articles: some say that a brown suit is better for daytime, while others say brown can be classic for evening.

What do you think? He already has a black suit he can wear. Would that be more appropriate? What color tie?

TIA, ladies!

P.S. I''m still a blue bride in spirit!

Ebree, I really like the idea of a brown suit! I think as long as you''re not having a super formal affair it''ll work great no matter what time it is. I think he should go with a sage tie. I love

that color combo.

Thank you! I love them too, though going from 2 colors to 5 makes coordination a little harder!

If we went with brown, it''d be a dark brown. I really like the idea of a sage tie!

Ebree, I really like the idea of a brown suit, too. And I also LOVE the sage tie- I wish we were doing sage, too! It''s one of my favorite colors! Also, I totally hear you about the addition of other colors, when looking at flowers today I thought, "What the hell?? What is our FEATURE color again? Crap!" Since we went from wine, gold and ivory, to more FALL colors all around, like burnt orange, red, gold, ivory and maybe brown? This doesn''t help us with finding a suit for the big guy, either- he won''t wear a sandy color suit.

I never thought this would be so hard!

I LOVE the new color scheme, btw. It''s going to be perfect with the season!

Thank you! I love your color scheme too. Adding other colors definitely makes things difficult, but I hope it all works out in the end. Would your FH wear a dark brown suit? What about with a red or burnt orange tie? That might look good.

Yeah, he might wear the dark brown suit, and I LOVE the idea of a burnt orange tie.

I''m getting so frustrated with wedding stuff lately, like there are too many decisions to be made, and not enough Amber to make them!

Doh! Duplicate!

Now that I think about it, my sash is going to be champagne...so should his tie be as well?

How does this look?

Here it is with a green hydrangea bout. I know, I really need to learn how to use photoshop!

Ebree, I LOVE it. Really. I think it looks very "outdoor wedding", too. Don''t feel bad about photoshop- I don''t even know HOW to use it.

Thanks, albi! FH really likes the suit mockup, which is wonderful. He''s pretty picky when it comes to his "fancy" attire.

Oh Ebree!
I love love love the brown suit/champagne tie.
Extremely classy, esp. w/the hydrangea bout.

Your color scheme is gorgeous,
and in my opinion, dark brown is good for either day or evening-

Oooh! I like this combo a lot too!

I'm trying to figure out if a white bout would make him look more like the groom, since he's missing the white tie/vest look most have.

WOw the colors are lovely!
I was thinking of the cream color for the tie when I first looked at all of your options there. I just was wondering, what color hair/eyes does he have and is he fair skinned or maybe a little olive?
My hubby is very fair and has blond curly hair and green eyes.

Love your photoshop

Thank you! We''re definitely doing a champagne tie (after seeing the mockup). I think I''ll have my dad wear a sage tie.

His skin is like mine...olivey-pale. Does that make sense? He has dark brown hair and blue eyes.

Just had to chime in that I LOVE this combo! Still very classic, but a bit out of the ordinary (and I have no clue how to photoshop, so I''m impressed

Thanks Jen! I actually didn't use Photoshop...that's good ol' Microsoft Paint.

I'll learn how to actually use Photoshop one of these days.

I thought champagne tie from the get-go, and was sold once I saw your mock-up.

Girl, your photoshop skills kick mine to the curb! (eta- oops, just saw that you used paint.)
