Color my world necklace by Whiteflash, any one have one?

Can't edit the title sorry, but I guess it would color my world!!!!

So I am seriously considering a Color Me Mine, necklace for my 18 years cancer free anniversary in March. As a gift to me!

*I was wondering if anyone has one?
*Are the stones a good size, I tried the math, they seem to be 7pointers each, but since I would like it longer I would think we might HAVE to add a stone or two!
*I should keep the number of stones at odd right?
*I would want it longer 18-20 inches ( got a fat neck, darn thyroid!)
*I also was wondering about rose gold. Does anyone know how the WF rose gold compare to the BGD rose?
I have the Barbara in rose gold and could see wearing both at the same time.
I wear my Barbara virtually every day, so this would need to go with.

I am waiting for Whiteflash to answer some of these questions, but ,I thought I would ask the experts

First off CONGRATULATIONS ON 18 YEARS OF BEING CANCER FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't answer any of your questions really has I dont' have a DBTY necklace by WF or have ever seen their rose gold, but I will say that I prefer the look of this type of necklace with an odd number of stones so there is always 1 that hangs directly down the center. For some reason it just seems more balanced to me that way.

If you're planning to wear it with a solitaire pendant, you might want to consider getting an even no. of stones so the pendant stone would fall between two DBTY stones, rather than having two center stones (one from each necklace).

Waiting to hear back, from WF but I have reached out to others too, to see what my options are. I do like how delicate the BGD bezels are, the WF ones seem chunkier?

Congrats! What a wonderful milestone and definitely reason to celebrate!

I got quotes from BGD, WF and IDJ for a DBTY necklace. The IDJ quote was well under half the next quote so I went with them and just adore my necklace! Pictures are here if you want a looksie:

How odd that I should happen to see your post, not having been online in quite a while. You see, I DO have a Color Me Mine necklace from Whiteflash, and a matching bracelet, and another in rose gold from BGD, and also my mother has just been diagnosed Dec. 20 with a metastatis of her breast cancer in spine, lung and pelvis, 13 years after we thought it was beat, so I have some idea how precious this anniversary is to you and all those who love you. YAY YOU! Wishing you many, many more years of health, and YES you should get this necklace, the best and biggest you can afford, because these are the pleasures in life and we should grab them since there is also so much pain sometimes.

My necklace is blue sapphire and white gold. Search for it under Smith1940, my old user name. I haven't posted my bracelet yet. My necklace is five 0.13 sapphires, and I wish I'd gone bigger because I didn't realise that sapphires are quite a bit denser than diamonds, so they were smaller than I thought. I got 0.20 sapphires for the bracelet, and they're much better. For a necklace, I would get 0.25 sapphires, if you can afford it.

WF doesn't do rose gold, btw. I checked. And where's my own WF calendar?? I got two pairs of earrings, a bracelet and a necklace from them last year. Want a calendar too! Waaah! Waaaaah!

Edit: On the subject of bezels, I have quite a few DBTY pieces from both BGD and WF. Yes, WF'S bezels are thicker than BGD's, but not "thick" as such. My opinion is that BGD's bezels are TOO thin. You can barely see them. I think that WF's bezels maximize the stone better. When I saw how thin and little the BGD bezels were, I was a little taken aback, although it mattered more with some baby bezel earrings than it mattered in the DBTY pieces with multiple stones. BGD said that the bezels are supposed to be so thin in order to give a "floating" appearance, and many people like it I think. But personally, I prefer a bezel that's medium-size, like WF. Perhaps tomorrow I'll post some photos, since the two bezel styles are quite different. However, I have posted a lot about my pieces, and you can find them under Smith1940, (not 1942).

I'm afraid I can't help you but I wanted to say 1) CONGRATULATIONS on an amazing 18 year milestone!!! WOO HOO to YOU!!!! and B) - loving the diamond/sapphire combo!! What colour would you go for - yellow, pink or blue? My guess - the pink (am I right?? ) and I think an 18 - 20" would be perfect. My Barbara is 17.75" (simply because I "could"!) and it hangs just in the right spot for my, ahem, um, 'extra lovely' neck

Worth the extra cost to have it in a length you are going to be comfortable with - would you add an extra stone if you add the 2 - 4" or just have empty chain at the back?

Excited to learn of your decision and what info you receive back from WF!

Prayers for your mom, that she beats this again! I had a friend with stage4 ovarian 17 years ago, she is still with us!!!!!!!!

Your pieces are all beautiful, and I see what you mean about the WF bezels, they look so huge on the website but way more delicate in your real life shots.

I'm going for pink sapphires, however I have 2 concerns,the color of the pink with the rose gold, and the actual color pink. I know BGD pink because I have the surprise sapphire in my 5 stone trellis and I just got the pink and diamond eternity from preloved.
I don't "know" the WF pink.
Waiting to hear from them.

1~ thank you it's been an amazing 18 year roller coaster~ everything is great now! But at the risk if TMI, but we seem to be able to handle it here... My implant has recently encapsulated, and needs to be redone. So sadly(Lol) I have to have a new one put in and because I'm no spring chicken, it's next door neighbor will be lifted and plumped up so they are both in the same time zone!! I will no longer be a 38long!!!
That surgery should be done over spring break, coincidentally just after the anniversary .
B~ Pink sapphires, but I really like blue, I have several sapphire pieces so it would go with lots of my stuff. Plus blue sapphires are really my favorite.

2/c The length is going to be 20" I believe but that might mean 2 more stones :0
I have been advised to go with an odd number, but then it was pointed out that if I'm wearing the two at the same time, make it an even number so the single stone of the Barbara is front and center, not to mention 5x bigger

I'm glad you are going with the pink - it just seems so much more appropriate, given the symbolism of the purchase. Do you think if you asked WF, they could give you a sample of their pink with their RG?? Send you something just to look at that you could return?

If you go for the extra length, I'd agree with putting the extra stones in - the clasp does not always stay at the back. AND , as for length, is your BGD Barbara also the same length or shorter? If its the same length, then yes, I can see the even number, but if Barbara is shorter and you go for 20" for this DBTY, then for me, I'd go with odd, so that the two 'centre' stones stack. (Barbara + whatever the DBTY centre is - pink or white- stacked on top of each other). That's how I would wear it.

Fun to consider all the options!

Ok so my barbara is 20" and this LiaSofia is 18" now while I would love diamonds that big!!! It's just for the sake of length.
The 18" would be good right? Or with a jump ring to 20 in case I want to wear it alone?
A 16" is just too tight.

For a response from WF, a poster said they don't do rose gold, but Vera didn't say that so I wait!!!
But I have looked at BGD and now I'm thinking I need my rose golds to match if I'm wearing them together. I don't mind mixing golds. Yellow, white, pink, it sparkles I'm happy. But I think because pink gold is different depending on who mixes it up, and they would be right next to each other...

Hey there Elisateach!!! Nice to see you!!!

I like the jump ring option - maybe there's a day when Barbara comes off ... ya never know....!! And I do agree with keeping the same colour RG's together. I, too, am OK with mixing coloured metals, but not if they are supposed to be looking the same, KWIM?? Knowing that, I'd still wait to hear from WF/Vera, but I'd personally be inclined go purchase from the 'known entity' of BGD.

And, like you, I don't like that 'choker' feeling of something too tight at my neck. I'm all for the 2 options of both 18" & 20" with a jump ring - good plan!!

Still waiting to hear from WF but I did wander the DBTY threads and dang now I want two! A pink sapphire and diamond and a blue sapphire and diamond.
It's really hard to choose.
Except for pinktober when I wear pink every day, way more of my wardrobe leans towards the blues. Oh decisions decisions.....
