I kind of feel bad for all the natural gems that no one sends to be interested anymore on his website.
Me too! There’s a spess on there that looks like a knock out. I can’t understand why it hasn’t sold yet.

Because it's not a 10x8 oval or emerald shape - else, I would have it.Me too! There’s a spess on there that looks like a knock out. I can’t understand why it hasn’t sold yet.
I am a smaller stone gal and love blue. I would have been all over that one! These go so quickly. I hope a PSer bought it so that we can see it!
seriously even on the second hand market, gene's stones go RIDICULOUSLY quick! the other day, someone posted a lab ruby from him on LT. it had only been up about 25 minutes when i emailed the seller and she said someone had emailed her just before i did and it had sold ): got real excited there for a second because i always seem to miss his drops lol.
Can’t wait to see a picture!Hi, it was me -- my first LT purchase ever actually. I blame all of you guys for throwing me down this rabbit hole when all I wanted was some ideas for e-rings. It is coming tomorrow, and if I don't love it, I am totally happy to re-sell it to you for the same price I paid. I'll keep you posted!

Is that the checkerboard top spessartite? I eyeball that one frequently but my $$$ goes other places right now. Can’t buy all the stones I really like opposed bar cuts too & have my eye on a few but again... other projects..
No. It was this one, which is now marked as sold.

I totally feel you on the budget. I'm doing a project with DK right now and this morning I see a sale on Yvonne's gems.

girl i will legit take you up on that offer if you don't love but tbh... i'm positive you're gonna love it lol. be sure to post tons of pics though and setting ideas!
Eek I feel like I won the lab CS lottery for under $100!
Of course the box of blue is my favorite so it got more pics than the others
If anyone wants the light pink (morganite) or the "rose" color (next to the big blue spinel in the same box as the Ruby color), let me know! Happy to share them with ps members
These ones (circled below) also up for grabs. They are nanosital material, I think the color is tanzanite-ish?

Are the other two colors (the non-circled ones) also nanosital? Do you know the color codes for them?
The other two blue are also nano. The bright blue/green one is paraiba yag. For the nano ones (not ccrcled) the darker blue is "Kashmir", and the lighter one is "swiss blue". That's what my rep said, so hopefully it's right! Are the other two colors (the non-circled ones) also nanosital? Do you know the color codes for them?
The Swiss blue nano is pretty darn close! The Kashmir blue is also gorgeous, but for some reason my phone sees it as purple/blue rather than pure blue.Uh! You kinda did! Those blues are my favourite!!! Are any of them the glowy blue you were hoping for?
Ok, so basically I need to get myself a chunk of yagBah sorry I just realized that the pic you attached doesn't show all 4 colors . So in the pic you quoted, the blue / green is yag, and the non circled blue is nano (swiss blue)
Oooh I've never seen that website! I know the "Kashmir" color is 597 bc he showed me a pic of it before he started referring to it as "Kashmir". I just totally forgot until I saw the link. And the one I'm calling tanzanite color is 146 (same thing ). The "swiss blue" is bizzare bc my stones look nothing like the "swiss blue". I have to assume it's "swiss blue medium"? But even still I feel like mine look totally different. So that's odd.Ok, so basically I need to get myself a chunk of yag
I wonder if that “swiss” is the “#1/2 Topaz Swiss Blue Medium”, or #T-86. My guess is on the Medium since yours isnt much of a topaz color..

I think the swiss blue is either the closest or is actually correct. Here are pics with my stone from Gene (which I think is the correct color, at least in my eyes), next to the swiss blue and Kashmir blue I got. I didn't specifically ask Gene what # of rough it was, but the swiss blue is almost identical in natural light, and only a bit different in artificial light (the middle pic, taken in our bedroom with shades closed so only the overhead light)Uh! Yum!

I guess it also could be 1782, but yeah, thats not “swiss blue” to my eye either. The "swiss blue" is bizzare bc my stones look nothing like the "swiss blue". I have to assume it's "swiss blue medium"? But even still I feel like mine look totally different. So that's odd.
Yup. Genes is the big middle one. Swiss blue on top!Is Gene's the middle and the Swiss the top?
Not even close. Way too dark , not glowy or electric whatsoevr. It's nice for those who want darker, but 100% not what I like.I guess it also could be 1782, but yeah, thats not “swiss blue” to my eye either.
BTW - is the big blue rectangular cushion spinel? How’s it compare to your dream blue?
Yup. Genes is the big middle one. Swiss blue on top!
