Luckily no one wants to see me!
But I'd love to see any new brides and their wedding attire! Heads or no! So bump!
How can anyone let the "tail" (if that's what it's called) of a several-thousand-dollar white dress drag behind them on a floor, or worse, on the ground/dirt outside?
The pics I see of this in this thread make me cringe.
You all look gorgeous!
Is that a thing?Haha then don't ever watch anybody "trashing their wedding dress".![]()
Is that a thing?![]()
I really enjoyed reading through this thread, seeing everyone’s beautiful wedding dresses and especially hearing the memories of your special day. If ever there is a day where joy is overflowing, it is ones wedding day.
What a perfect time to revisit great memories.
We are still basking in the glow of ours, even though it was over a year ago.
It was a second marriage for both of us, having both experienced the loss of our spouses in our 50’s and pretty certain finding true love a second time was a major long shot.
We knew about 2 weeks after meeting that it was the real deal, but waited 7 years before getting married because it made more financial sense. We were both on the cusp of retiring.
We were fully committed early on though.
Our wedding day was a long awaited dream come true and felt every bit of a dream as we hoped.
We both grew up along the Delaware River (in two separate towns about 20 miles apart), so having that as a backdrop was beautiful and meaningful. It literally was something that connected us long before we ever met.
The ceremony was in the side yard of a neighbors beautiful river front home and then we crossed the street to my childhood home where my mom still lives and had a beautiful, fun, tented celebration. We wanted something that would be fun for everyone including our nine grandchildren. It was perfect.
So onto my dress. Let me just say, it’s HARD to find a wedding dress that feels age appropriate when you’re 60!
I imagined I was going to have some Grecian goddess style dress, but it wasn’t to be.
When the sales person suggested the dress I ended up choosing, I said , no way, it looks like something out of the Jetsons.
But, she knew better. It was light as a feather, comfortable and I felt like a beautiful bride.
My mom, who is approaching 90 now, gave me her seal of approval. She has much better fashion sense than me, so that was all I needed.
Thanks for letting me share our special day!
I hope it keeps going! We need all the joy!!
Look @kenny, no mud! Just don’t look at my heels. Lol

What a beautiful wedding
Best wishes to you both and your blended family
Bluemuse you two make such a beautiful and radiant couple!
Your dress is the nicest wedding gown I've ever seen.
It's perfect, and you sparkle in it.
This part of your flowing dress brings to mind a Georgia O'Keeffe painting.
But, how did your photographer get the paper confetti to just happen to fall right in front of the face of all 3 girls at the same time?
Amazing.

Sharing my sister's wedding dress. From the 2000s.
My non professional photos haha. And in the background is my best friend also taking non professional photos.
Back of her dress.
I can't find any full length photos unfortunately. Her dress was gorgeous.
Beautiful bouquet.
My friend did my mom's and sister's makeup.

My youngest brother wedding in 2016.
My Sister-in-law wedding dress isn’t traditional wedding dress, not my cup of tea at all, but it suits her and her personality, it is HER wedding dress... you know what I mean? When you see something and you remind that piece to certain person/yourself.... everything about that dress is Her, her name is written all over it kind of thing.
I wanted to post my own but I haven’t login in fb and forgot my fb password and I’m too lazy to search the file in my DH computer.
