comparision between these two

I am planning to buy a diamond within this week......i am so tired that i really dnt care much anymore about the stone-i just want to get over this diamond buying

Below are the two diamonds i have chosen.... which one do u think is better stone for the price offered...... Option 1: the table is big but HCA gives a good value so i really dnt know if its a good stone....option 2: it seems expensive.
My budget is around $2700-3000..... which is a better bargain?
Though option 1 is 0.78 carat but its measurement is close to 0.80 carat....does this mean they will look nearly same size?

Also...is the finish for both o.k?

Both look promising. What is the lower half number for #2? Also can you get idealscope image for these?

Yap, both will face up essentially the same size, but 0.8c is a point where the $/carat jump so quite a significant increase in price.

thanks....I am attaching the GIA report of both these diamonds side by side....my only worry is 58% table size for 0.78 carat diamond.... is it worth the price? should i go ahead and buy it. I will ask for idealscope image.... carat weight does not matter to me much if they look the same & will shine the same.

thanks....so i am planning to visit this place tomorrow (local jeweler who have been inspired by Blue Nile(he told me this ) & opened their website - advantage i get to see ideal scope(just for 1-2 stones) & disadvantage - benefits same as BlueNile- which is fine with me)....

..if i like the images do u suggest i go ahead and buy it? in case both look o.k which one do u suggest i should pick up?
Also, Is the 33.5 crown not a problem for 0.78 carat option. Sorry, asking u again the same question as i want to be sure of my purchase..... will u prefer the 0.78 carat one over 0.80 carat?

Yes, that combo of angles is fine. Go check them out in person.

I''m curious to see which stone you chose. I was in a similar position as you just a few weeks ago for a similar size stone. One was .794 and the other was .8 and I ended up going with the .794 because I couldn''t justify paying $200 extra for .006 ct.

Also, what setting did you go with? Keep us posted! I can''t wait to see pictures!

i didnt go for either of these... going for 0.83

for $3310

after this purchase i m sure i will not make another diamond purchase for atleast few years so i thought a little bigger was better.... and that 0.83 had bigger dimensions around 6.09*6.12....while these two above around 5.98*5.98... i dnt know if i making the correct decision.... but i like the stone! it is expensive..... haven''t paid the money yet- i still have little thinking time

in your case, .006 ct is definitely not worth $200 extra if both are good stones.... was the measurement also nearly same?

For what it''s worth, I would be able to tell the difference between 6.09*6.12 and 5.98*5.98, and espeically since you saw the stone in person and you love it, I think you made a great choice!

Regarding the 2 I was considering, .8 was 5.97x6.04x3.66 and the .794 that I chose was 5.93x5.96x3.66. They were both Brian Gavin stones, so they were both hearts & arrows, both I color and VS2 clarity.

It''s insane how deep I looked into the measurements, but the difference was so minimal, I think I would''ve just drove myself nuts.
