thank you Loreili,

It looks like I was typing my question are you were already answering it!
Most welcome LOL! Some appraisers have access to ASET/ Idealscope and other tools to help judge cut so that could certainly be an option for you.

And if you want the diamond to ' pop' then a thinner band in the region of between 2- 3mm can make the most of the stone IMO. As to the cut quality, we can't tell much without the other info as I said earlier, but it does have good proportions which means it is probably a well cut diamond - but without images of the actual stone then that is limiting as to what we can ascertain.

And is the cut on the BN diamond "good enough" as I consider cut very highly! I dont know how to compare it to ACA, AGS0 and Hearts & Arrows

That link is for Richard Sherwood. He is the independant appraisar I use and has been great! He frequents the forum as well and his prices are very reasonable.

We just can't tell that much without images broundiamond, the diamond has good proportions and it is probably a well cut diamond which should perform well but without actual images we can only make an educated guess. Without Idealscope and hearts images, ASET etc we have no way of comparing it to an ACA for example, also AGS0 are not necessarily hearts and arrows diamonds. If you want an undisputed hearts and arrows, then a branded cut is what you should get such as an ACA, Infinity etc.

Deleted, because I said exactly the same as Lorelei.

I agree. The diamond is close to the extremes and precise measurements need to be done.
