Confused about pricing and "D" color for earrings

We all are familiar with the effect of most cameras not doing justice to well cut and proportioned diamonds and end up taking 500 videos to find 1 that's moderately acceptable! LOL

Busy day with work, etc. but I will get to it as soon as I can!

The stones just arrived, and WOW. They are ridiculously pretty! Just gorgeous! I'm almost afraid of them, lol. I'm not sure if someone like me should have them. So different from the Old European Cut in my engagement ring! And, I love that stone too!

Total with tax came to $408. Not sure if tax comes from New York where they shipped from or my state. At my age I should know something like that, lol.

Diamonds themselves were a bit under 200 each. Yeah, I've benefited a ton from both the education here and the advice. DejaWiz was so kind and helpful.

Ritani was happy to do a price match for me provided the diamonds were the exact same number, which they were. Ritani customer service has been phenomenal. They've been very patient with me highly recommend!

I hope that I get the setting right! Right now leaning toward the eight prong martini that my jeweler pointed me to. I will update on my other thread about Settings.

Got a few more pictures today that still don't do justice but here they are anyway. Nobody in my life is remotely as excited about this project as I am so I am posting them here! I am concerned they might be a little bit big but I will sort that out.
