Could use some insights on oval diamond engagement ring!

Plus, if I remember correct, wasn't the third one cheaper than the G?

I'd also ask your rep if you can have them give you "claw prongs. Basically making the prongs come more to a point. I believe they would do it for you and should really elevate your setting go look super good. If just ask then see if they could.

I can't wait to see pictures when its finished! I know your gf said shed rather have a big stone over a nice stone, but I think she would have been ultimately disappointed down the road if you just went size over light performance color and clarity. Plus a ct is a very nice size! So now you really get it all

I agree with Niel about getting better light performance over size -- especially if it's going in a double halo!!

I can't wait to see this ring! A friend of mine is looking at a double halo and i suggested that one but have yet to see "real life" pics!

Great find, Niel! I don't believe that's mine because the prongs aren't claw style. I paid slightly extra for the claw style prongs. Also, that diamond is the same size as the center stone I selected but different color. I went with an F diamond, not H. Those are probably minor differences though in the context of a picture so that gives me a very good idea of what it will look like. Thanks for posting!

Oh good catch. It didn't used to have the color/ clarity listed. Toured will look much whiter :love:

Yes, she absolutely loves it. It's different than most engagement rings (at least those of girls she knows) so it's been getting lots of attention from her friends. And the ring sparkles like none I've ever seen. The pictures don't show that at all. I've never paid much attention to other girls' engagement rings but even with that in mind I think it's fair to say the double pave around the center stone really lights up more than most rings. It suits her personality (she wears bright colors all the time).

Only issue is that it might be a 1/4 size too big. She's still deciding whether or not she wants to send it back for resizing or not.

One question: Does the guy usually get the insurance on the ring since he bought it? Or does the girl since she's the one wearing it?
