We are starting to consider cushions, although I know that there is a wide range of variance in the types of Cushion Cuts and specs. I am trying to understand cut and style differences in these cuts
I note that GIA reports call refer to some stones as "Cushion Modified Brilliant", while other GIA reports simply state "Cushion Brilliant" What is the difference in these cut styles?
I would also like to confirm the general "rules of thumb" in judging initial cut quality when I look at specs online....I just want to get a starting basis in undertanding specs for cushions. I am thinking that depths in the mid 60%''s and tables in the high 50%''s to low 60%s are the starting point for a decent cut...Am I in the right range??.
