I was fortunate enough to get to be involved in the diamond selection and ring design for my e-ring. Unfortunately I found this forum late into the process, but nonetheless I have continued to read, see and learn a lot here, so I thought it only fair that I share mine as well.
When designing the ring I wanted something that was a mix of antique and modern. I went with an elongated cushion because I have very long fingers. I wanted as low-profile as possible, something very delicate and a ring that would allow my wedding band to sit flush. The ring actually went through two iterations... the first had slightly larger diamonds in the halo (at which point I posted a pic and got feedback from many people here - Charmypoo, your response helped me make the decision to go for the change, and I'm so happy I did!).
