I always wanted a cushion cut but I see according to this chart a princess cut 2.0 carat seems much larger than a 2.0 cushion cut I dont know why. Does anyone have these two side by side to compare.

I am thinking of custom designing my ring....I want it to be 1.5-2.0 carat either cushion or princess cut. What do you guys think? If you want you can draw or help me design my ring

I think its the corners on the princess that draw your eye outward and make it *seem* bigger. Thats what I think
is going on in my mind. They are both very different looks and cushion cut stones themselves have several different
looks to them. You need to do lots of searches on PS and look at both princess shape stones and all the different
cushions to figure out what you really like. For me it would be a chunky cushion like a good old gold august vintage

But if you like princess cut stones then this may not be the kind of cushion you like. Here is another look...

So...you need to look around at a lot of pictures and try to narrow down what cut of stone you really like.
