I love that ring design. Very beautiful and practical at the same time. Great diamond size for everyday wear.

For smaller diamonds, I look for a nice sparkle and good light return. Do you see a whitish look from the stone in dim light, or does it grey out into the background along with the rest of the setting? It is probably hard to tell what I mean unless you have a good stone to compare it with. In any case, if you like it, and it sounds like you do, I wouldn''t worry about the cut, not at this point. I''ve worn non-ideal rings/pendants for years, enjoyed them very much and they are still lovely.

Ooh, I love that side view! How pretty.

Wicked cool design! Enjoy your ring, and congratulations!

Very pretty!!!!!!

SOOOOO lovely and perfect!

Congratulations!

I think your ring is gorgeous! So unusual. The two things I adore about it is, the sapphires, a touch of colour makes a diamond come to life. As well as the fab side view. I love to see the whole stone and your setting certainly ticks that box.

Wishing health and happiness to you and your hubby to be.

Cool design! have you seen the twisp by Sholdt? It is very similar but without the sapph sides. I like the punch of color.

OK, so thanks for pointing me to the name - the ring we based the design on (to give credit where it is clearly due!) is the Scholdt 12ZZ1 from the twisp collection, which has diamonds on the band, diamond side-stones, and a min 1 carat stone - and is totally gorgeous (There''s one posted on this site from a user). There are some differences just because mine had a different manufacturer (e.g. longer "V''s" on either side) and because I''m me (less bling, just the one diamond, smaller diamond, sapphire stones, and my setting was $800 which was our max), but that''s the inspiration. The Scholdt 16ZZ1 is another beautiful take on the same idea.

Oops, those were the retailers #s. Scholdt's are different, but you get the idea... I'm glad to now know the name of the inspiration and I'm about to scour the site for more kindred rings...

Love the profile - looks great on your hand!
