Hello,

Had a quick question that I''m hoping someone could help me with. Don''t
need to be 100% accurate, just trying to get a ballpark figure.

Found a setting (Pictures Attached) at Shenoa.com. Did some research and found that people have not been happy with purchases from this on-linevendor.

They list it for $700 and say that the diamonds are F - VVS/VS. All there diamonds are NGL certified and I know that the quality will be different than described. That said, I want to research my options as to getting this custom made. Any thoughts as to what something like this will cost?

Setting has 10 radiant cut (2 rows of 5 stones on each side) and 30 round cut (3 rows of 5 on each side) diamonds. Would like color to be an F and not too concerned with clarity.

Please - any insight will help.

Thanks in advance for your time!

I''m no expert on custom-make settings, but the setting you selected looks pretty ornate.

I believe you might be able to find a similar setting manufactured by any one of the following designers: Tacori, Verraggio or Simon G.

You may want to do ao ''google search'' for these designers to see if you find something similar, and go to their respective websites to view their on-line catalogues.

We purchased my Natalie K setting and matching band through Firenze Jewels (www.FirenzeJewels.com) - - I''m not sure if they have your setting, but they certainly have a great selection on their website.

Best of luck to you! I hope this helps ...

You probably do not need to get that custom made. I would guess it is from a jewelers catalog and not a shenoa one of a kind. Stop by any jeweler (a small one that will show you the setting books) and show them the picture. They could probably find one in the big books of settings. In fact I think I have seen it on the web as well. Do your homework and you will find their source.

Custom will run higher than 700 on that setting i would guess. You can estimate the price by looking at the total carat weight of the setting and comparing to similar sized rings at say pearlmans or other online vendor. I think this price estimate will be pretty close if you buy the main stone external. If you get the diamond through the jeweler, then you can get some combined savings potentially as the jeweler needs to make some profit on something. However, this may be risky depending on the quality of the jeweler; can get a bum stone and thus not get a savings, but more profit to the jeweler... so this also requires homework unless you go with well reviewed jewelers.
