Aww, thankyou Mochi, Kate and of course Lori for the ideas

Ha ha thanks Goodsoul. Yes, obsession is a good word. I haven''t bought anything but jewellery so far, but with any luck I would like to commission a cratsman to make me a wooden jewellery box. I have been hunting for a nice one forever!

I''f you''d like to share your specs and budget I''m happy to help you search for an OEC...but thats half theb fun isn''t it

I''m so excited, I have to share with my PS friends.
Some of you may have noticed my thread recently in hangout about my ongoing jewellery box saga - long story short, I''ve been at my wits end trying to find a decent one to buy that was both practical and attractive. I don''t own one, and all my stuff is floating around in draws etc..

I didn''t care what it cost (within reason

), or where it came from. So I looked to buy online from the US - and got ripped off by a dodgy company

Well, etsy to the rescue again !
I found this seller, and even though the box is a lil smaller than what was my ideal, I fell in love with it. With any luck I may even have it by Chrissie.
I *heart* etsy, lol !

Arjunajane, can you post a link to the seller? One of my friends has been looking for a simple box with dividers for FOREVER.

AJ--what a great box! I love the look of it.

Thanks guys !

Of course, here''s his store http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5098298
Its Duncan''s Woods and he''s got one or two in this size left.

Musey, Elmorton and Mochi - if you do happen to order something, I would vey much appreciate if were inclined to mention I referred you.? I am planning on ordering a larger custom one from him, so a discount would come in handy

I have the same screen name here as on etsy, so he''ll know who you mean.

Glad ya''s like it !

arjuana- that box is great! Now I have something to tell hubby to get for my birthday. Thanks for sharing

Thanks, arjuna! I will definitely mention you if I get one.

Gee, the seller's profile picture looks like a mugshot
23.gif

Ajuna...I will diffinitely mention you if i order from him.

You''re welcome icekid.

Thanks Mochi and Musey, I appreciate it !

Ha ha Musey, I know right? I almost expected his profile to read "Duncan began woodwork while in prison rehabilitation.." lol

But seriously, I have looked all over for something, and his are by far the nicest and also most reasonable prices. Other similiar ones have been asking upward of $250

That''s a great jewelry box! I added him to my favorite sellers, and if I get one, I''ll mention your name too! I need one desperately-all my jewelry is in a bowl on my dresser.

Thx packrat, wow looks he may owe me a free box after this thread, lol !

Mine too, its all over the place in my dresser etc - I've needed one for the longest time !

Hey all, just curious if anyone decided to buy or order a box yet..?

I''ve been chatting to Duncan via email, and he''s a really lovely guy. How''s this for a small world? - his grandfather once managed a sheep station in Perth, Australia where I live - random huh?!

He was happy that I''d mentioned him here, as he said he wasn''t sure how things might go with the financial crisis.

Ok...so I''ve been following this thread because I''ve been wanting to get stacking rings since this summer. I love everything that everyone''s posted so far! I forget how I found out about etsy originally as it was several months ago, but needless to say, I''m hooked!!! I wanted to share the two sets of stackers I purchased last week. I got the first set in the mail today and I''m still waiting for the 2nd set.

The first was a pressie for myself from Jen at ABlondAndATorch. I loved her Lauren ring and I wanted to customize it with stackers so I combined it with an oxidized beaded ring and a plain silver ring. Jen was incredible to work with and she responded to my convos at lightning speed!!! I am currently wearing these on my left middle finger and I''m in
30.gif
.

The 2nd is a gift for my yoga-fanatic friend from Heather at cherrycreek. I loved the Om and Lotus flower stamped rings and thought they''d be cute with a gold-filled stacker. I''ve sized it as a pinky ring.

Yay for Etsy!!!!

Hey arjunajane!

My stackers from Jen at ABlondeAndATorch are fabulous! The Lauren ring is gorgeous, there''s just one small spot (1/2 cm) where there''s not pattern...I''m assuming it''s because of the size and not wanting to only have half a pattern. The beaded and plain silver rings are great too. I have no issues with the quality and they all fit perfectly. Note that I did not go up in size at all and they fit just fine!

Her communication is phenomenal. She returned my convos within minutes and she sent me pictures right away so i could see how my custom rings would look. I ordered on a Friday and she sent them in the post on the following Monday.

I haven''t received the rings from Heather at cherrycreek yet, but when I do, I''ll give you an udpate. She again, was quick to reply and she posted my rings the day after I purchased them.

Which rings are your thinking of buying??

hey, cheers for the info! Yeah I''ve convo''d Lauren too and she''s very good.
I wanted to get the Courtney ring from her, I just wasn''t sure how good the finish may be IRL, so I''m glad you''re happy with them.

As for cherrycreek, I just found it like a day ago, and am fond of their plumeria ring and earrings. They are not normally my kinda style, but I thought they''d be cute for summer (its summer where I am

).
