Okay, thanks for chiming in everyone. I just sent TPO an email with my pic of the bigger white pearls. I also mentioned the blemished pearl near the clasp and the non-graduated sizes. We''ll see what they say.
UPDATE: I just got a call from John, the general manager at TPO, to follow-up on the email I sent. He was very concerned about the quality of the necklace, and offered to have one re-made and sent FedEx. He seemed very interested in making things right, and assured me that if I just wanted to return the necklace, the restocking fee would be waived. He also offered the option of sending a postage-paid return pack with the new strand so that I could even return both of them, if I wished. So I just wanted to say that althought I wasn''t impressed by my first necklace, I was impressed by their customer service. Now I just have to figure out what to do...
That is good to hear.

I noticed on their webpage they say they want their customers happy.

I really like the strand on you, it looks fabulous IMO. But if the larger ones are going to bother you then you are better of returning it... and it great that you received such good customer service.

I ordered the July special from PP yesterday as a gift for a friend. I''ll let you all know how it looks when it gets here.

Are the gray pearls from today''s special dyed? I think I remember Skippy saying they are, but I can''t find where. Does anyone know?

The Pearl Outlet''s July sales day is tomorrow starting at 9:00 AM Central time. I know many of us have had some issues with the sales items in the past but some of us have also had some success...

I figure it is always worth a look to at least see what they are offering.

Bummer. I''m not sure what my problem is with dyed pearls since I know they''re already cultured and the dye is permanent, but I''d rather have natural color pearls.

Thanks for finding that for me btw!

No problem.

I feel the same way about the dye, and yet still think they are gorgeous...

Thanks for the tip on the sale, jmtomaui! Maybe what I am looking for will be on sale.

brightlight.... did you get those tahitian studs??
Yes I did! They''re not the overtone I requested, but I still love them! I''m in the middle of some home renovations, so it''s hard for me to take pics b/c I''ve put my valuables in a place that''s not easily accessible. However, my studs are in my portable jewelry box, so I''ll try to take a pic with my camera phone. Just warning you that the pic won''t be that great!

I was looking forward to the sale. But after looking, I just didn''t see anything I had to have, bummer ;)
Gosh, why can''t we have it all, the best of quality at the lowest possible price! ha ha

I did not find anything either... Oh well, now I''m not tempted to spend money I shouldn''t!

I am in love with the natural color akoya lariat necklace!!

I love it too! Only thing that kept me from getting is the 12% restocking fee if i don''t love it as much in person.

I did order the 8.5 multicolor chocolate necklace though. I love browns!

I got the 8.5 - 9.5mm white Gem Quality strand, and I''m so excited! Can''t wait to get them!

I didn''t find anything I had to have either
7.gif
I still want the smaller multi-color necklace from last month''s sale! But not enough to pay full price of course

Kelli, I thought of you when I saw the tin cup necklace. That would be a great way for you to wear pearls to work in your workout clothes! Especially for the price. This one tempted me more than anything else as I do want one and the price was reasonable but...

szh, when I saw the tahitans on sale, I wondered if you would consider buying one?

Elle, I loved the brown strand. I had purchased some pretty ones off of eBay and tied them myself. I'm sure the TPO ones are much nicer but since I would not wear the brown as often as I would like, the less expensive ones I have are good enough for now. We need to buy DH a new car and are saving pennies so I told myself I had to so love what I saw so much that I could not live without it before I would spend money at this month's sale.

Summertime, that was a gorgeous strand! I can't wait to hear about them when you get them and see the pics!

I purchased a AAA multicolor akoya strand around a year ago. The luster isn't as metallic as typical akoyas, but the colors are really rich, warm, and beautiful. The silvery greyish blue ones are my favorite. It's a warmer silvery-blue than the baroque akoyas at PP. They're closer to silvery-grey than blue. It almost looks like there are microscopic ground up specs of glitter in them. I heard the gem quality multicolor akoyas have a much more intense luster.

I thought I got an email that said the restocking fee was going to be waived? I might be totally confused though.

Please tell me you''ll be posting pics? I would loveee to see them!!

It says " A 12% restocking fee will be added to all sale items" on their page.. so not sure? I didn't get charged for shipping though.

I got them today!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the color. BUT (and there always seems to be a but with me
8.gif
) they were supposed to be 8.5mm, but as soon as I opened the box, i thought they looked much smaller. I compared them to my other strand of 8-8.5mm and yep, this one has smaller pearls. I'm a bit annoyed at this. Going to call them on Monday, maybe they sent me the wrong strand..

Brightlight, you need to take more pics of those tahitians!

It said they waive the fee for exchanges only. I''m not sure if that applies though if you exchange an $1800 product for say a $100 product.

I know ... I was pleasantly surprised by the overtone too! I''m going to be so embarrassed to see my ear on the internet. I blushed when I saw my hand. I know, I''m silly. If you don''t mind the low quality of the pictures, maybe I''ll post pictures of some of my other pearls that I have easy access to. I have a graduated akoya strand that has felt lonely and might appreciate some oohs and aahs.
