Just call me the little engine that could... I''m determined to keep this thread going!

I had my trainer this morning and I got there about 15 mintues before she did so I did a 75 minute workout. She completely kicked my butt. She also thinks the scale is wrong at Weight Watchers since she can''t imagine I actually weigh that much. Maybe it''s all muscle!

I told her what my goal was, and she said she''ll make sure I reach it. I refuse to give up this time!

I went to dinner last night and it was so hard since there were so many delicious things on the menu. But I was good and had broiled salmon with lentils. It was very tasty, just not as tasty as the braised short ribs would have been... I saved up my points so I had one drink and snack when I got home (early dinner), but I made sure to drink a lot of water.

I''ve been noticing something weird and was wondering if anyone else has the same problem: I don''t know whether it''s what I ate for breakfast (oatmeal and a cheese stick) or the working out, but I was so bloated this morning. Does this happen to anyone? I''ll try to cut out the cheese, but I think it''s the working out that did it to me!
 
Way to go with the workout- that''s awesome! Have you done your measurements too? It helps when the scale has larger numbers than you look. And I hear ya- noone believes my weight when I tell them! Funny I also had salmon last night- cept mine was grilled with dill and onion salt- one of my favs! I have that problem with the bloating from time to time- I just chalk it up to new food combos or hormones. Not sure if workouts could be to blame- give it time and it should go away.

I did a 40 minute treadmill run/walk combo last night (I''m a night exerciser!). Tonight I''ll be switching over to eliptical for 40 minutes and a 30 minute pilates dvd. Trying to increase cardio to 4-5 times a week and more time. I have a hard time staying interested after 40 minutes- which is up from my usual 30 minutes!

I was feeling so good today, and then I get a copy of our company photograph that was taken recently and I look horrible and fat! I never think of myself looking like that... it''s just awful!

I would like to rip of the picture now, but I think it might be rude to leave it in the compnay trash...
 
I hear ya, Amanda. Remember the photo album I got, that I was talking about yesterday? Man, it''s like, oh, how cute, aw, that''s a nice one, holy crap, I got fat two years ago..

I hate pictures. And ya know what else? I have a round face, even before I gained weight... and now I look like a cabbage patch kid. Cripes.

Amanda, after I work out I feel and look really bloated in the belly area...also I look more ''buff'' or something in general, I read that it could be from the torn muscles from working out or similar...I usually go down within the next day or so...I try not to work out when I am going out that night in a revealing outfit or anything to try to combat it.
 
Looks like tonight is going to be another 7-7:30 night at work : ( I dont think I''m going to make it to the gym till Thurs at this rate. I''ll have to do my hour long pilates dvd when I get home just to have moved around a bit!
 
I made it to the gym at 7, did 20 minutes of weights and 30 minutes on Precor. I ate pretty well, till tonight. I made pistachio crusted chix salad with feta homemade dijon vinegrette. YUMMY! And not too bad of a splurge till FI pulled out chocolate covered shortbread from the gourmet grocery....I had 3! I just cant seem to overcome, even though I know I am making progress, I seem to want to prolong it.

AP, I know what you mean about pics. I thought I looked great going to FI xmas party, till he forwarded me a pic. I looked like a house and my arms looked HUGE!!! I think it must be the angle that these pics are taken at. I''m sure I cant look that bad, and I''m sure you dont either!
 
Went to kbox class last nite and tonite walked bout 2miles with my iPod and Portia...

Now trying to figure out dinner, light and not too unhealthy, thinking about Chicken Tortilla Soup at this local place for us. YUM.
 
I helped a friend move in for a few hours, not much cardio but it feels like it ought to count as weights. No walking this evening due to T-storms.
