Good Morning Ladies! I am so not a fan of Tuesday it makes me feel sleepy. Oh well! Jaime and I got up and were out the door by 5:30 so that is allright. We walked for about 75minutes this morning. Brrr! It was freezing!
AP- Yea for your two pound loss that is great!
FFF- I know you are going to post wonderful numbers come Wednesday .
Mag- Congrats on that extra half mile!
I am really hopeful that next Mondays weigh in will be a good one. I am trying very hard not to stress eat, but Febuary will be here as of tomorrow and that means I have about three weeks of waiting to find out if I will be going down to Baylor to interview. Yikes.
I hope everyone else is in a better mood and feeling more active this morning!
 
Nice work Mat! I have shovelled some muck, carried heavy water containers and stuck to my plan well so far. The arm exercises are getting easier, maybe I will see some results soon! With the stress eating try to think of it as you are not hungry but just want to eat to feel better - give it a minute and think about it and decide if you are truly hungry or just nervous. If you are hungry have something but if not then it should help you to fight the urge and have water instead or a piece of fruit.
 
I will think of you Virginia when I am doing my arm toning exercises, it is the undersides I want to firm up - they are fine really but I want shapely arms that look good in T shirts and sleeveless shirts etc. Good luck with your arm exercises too!
 
Good for you Virgina! I think you will be able to lose the 5lbs no problem! It is awsome that you and your BF are able to do this together! Yippee!
I know how you feel about the arm thing...I am doing the same thing. Its tough but fun!
 
Strength training for me today. Moved up to 75lbs on the bench press (10lbs up from previous week).

Last night, I actually mixed up protein drinks for breakfast. They were in the fridge, ready for us this morning, which was excellent and saved a lot of time. (I''m not a morning person).

Matatora, I don''t know how you manage to be out the door at 5:30AM! I can barely make it out the door at 730!
 
Good morning all!

I did 60 minutes on the treadmill this morning. Not fast, but I was sweating.

I ate pretty well yesterday. I''m doing okay today, but I''m hungry!

I''m hoping to reach my goal by July. My bf said I''ll get a big reward then! I hope I don''t have to wait that long though...
 
Hey, everyone! Do you mind if I join your daily workout thread? I''m trying to lose about 10-15 pounds, and all of your posts have been motivating me to do my workouts!

Yesterday I worked on my arms, legs, and stomach, and ran/walked on the treadmill for a half hour, so today I''ll just do the treadmill and not the strength training. I don''t do my workouts in the morning since I have to be at work at 6 am, so I''ll do my 3 mile run on the treadmill tonight. I''m also trying to train for a 10 mile race in May, so I have to get my miles and speed up.

It sounds like all of you are doing pretty well with your workout goals!
 
We did our arm weight exercises last nite in class and since I had done them at home on Sunday, I was in some serious discomfort doing them...the tops of my shoulders and the muscles that kind of run down the outside of the arm are somewhat uncomfortable feeling right now, so I guess no arms for me today!!

Today is my walking day, ~2m...I have been feeling nauseated all morning which really sucks but at least I won''t be tempted to snack..hahhaa. I had cereal and coffee and am supposed to go to lunch with my friend/coworker for a salad but I seriously don''t know how food oriented I will be come that time, I may just come home and veg out with a piece of bread or something. Hope I don''t have a flu!!

Everyone sounds so positive and is doing so well, congrats gals!!

Cool! Glad to have you join us Coda - we try to keep each other motivated and on the straight and narrow! I don't know how you fit all of that exercise in, well done, especially with starting work so early

Jelly and I walked again this morning.

I had a terrible low blood sugar moment yesterday. I felt really tired, hungry and I even felt my self starting to shake. I made my fiance stop driving and pull into a McDonald''s for a quick Happy Meal and I scarfed it down in about 3 seconds. Nonetheless it was the best darn tasting hamburger I have ever eaten!

I think I''ll plant some snacks in the car to avoid situations like this again.
 
haha Jelly I know that sucks when you have to eat something and have nothing but something unhealthy, but YES doesn''t the hamburger and fries taste the ABSOLUTE best then? much better than if you plan to go to McD''s!!

for snacks I have been in love with oranges but also for something with a longer shelf-car life I like the Kashi granola bars, they have tons of fiber and protein and low in fat and calories and because of the fiber they make you feel more full!

I''ve been swimming every weekend with a friend I''m training for a triathalon, but will soon go to twice or three times a week soon. I''m struggling with morning aerobics in my living room -- watching FitTV Channel aerobic shows have been a blast, but I can only do them when my BF gets us up early (ie 4:45am) and I can stay awake when he leaves for work..... Lately he''s been able to go in to work later, so I have to admit I can''t give up sleeping in with him!
