Definately hard to take a photo when the colors are dancing all over the place (esp w/ cell phone). I just love watching the colors dance and find it so mesmerizing. I hope someday I get tired of always looking at it

YT: Backlight your stone out in diffused lighting. (IE hold your hand up so it's brighter behind the ring, and try wearing something brightly colored or have flowers around.)

Thanks for the nice comments everybody! I actually took the photo with my iPhone. I didn't backlight the stone. I was actually on my couch with a window behind me. It was a cloudy day and the blinds were closed only letting in a little light. I gotta give a "thumbs up" to the iPhone camera because I tried taking the photo before with different cameras but with no success.

Beautiful stones bastetcat! I was going to start a "show me your dancing diamonds thread" but when the website went down the other day my post actually posted before I could change it. Your right, I did want to see more...Thanks for posting

You're welcome! I think of show me thread like this would be cool. But I think these may be harder pics to do than fire pics because you need color around. I love trying to get nice pastel pics, but the weather and winter are NOT cooperating!
