DanielM from Etsy sent me pictures of my reset OECs!!

I love those rings! :love: You can pack up that 8-prong and sent it to me anytime now. :bigsmile:

I love the rolling ring stack! It is so sweet of you to make a ring for your mum. :))

I love the chunkieness of a OEC, and it looks like these two are amazing. So icey looking. Love them! :D

Thanks once again lovely Yssie, that last stack is my favourite too!! The 8 prong is a RHR for me but I'm awfully tempted to stack it on my left hand some days :bigsmile:

zhuzhu, he didn't ask me to sign anything, and come to think of it we didn't discuss liability at all! :confused: Perhaps we should have? I'm unsure! The stones were insured, but at any rate, you're so right, it didn't even cross my fluffball of a mind! I absolutely would have signed it though, I understand the reasons behind it.

Thankyou Andelain, admittedly I've grown rather fond of it :cheeky: But where would you fit it amongst your already INCREDIBLE collection of bling?! :love: :love: :love:

Aww coati, thanks love! I keep saying it, but she really is the best mum anyone could ask for! And yup, I'm loving it with the rolling ring... rolling rings are so stackable with anything!!

They are so beautiful! Congratulations!

It sounds like you are extremely pleased with working with DM. I am considering him to make a ring for me also. Did DanielM ask you sign a waiver form to release liability should damage to the stones occur during setting? I was a little surprised by it because none of my other jewelers had asked me that. How did you feel about signing it?

Hi Zhu, hopefully Dandi won't mind me jumping in here - when I worked with DanielM I did not have to sign any waiver either, but I did ask them to write up an appraisal so I could have my stones insured during setting. They were good about it - no fuss, no charge or anything, I just gave them the info from my vendor's sales receipt (which was very minimal, only estimated colour/clarity/polish and an inflated retail replacement value) and they put it on DM letterhead with a description of the setting they were going to make. JM took it no problems.

Thank you DandiAndi and Yssie,

I am surprised that I am the only one being asked to sign a waiver! I should ask him why and get the ring insured first. Thanks for sharing your experience with me!

Zhu ::)

Thankyou for your lovely reply Sparklenut! I too adore their chunkiness, I don't think I could ever go back to modern RBs!! :o

Yssie, that's a great idea, I wish I'd thought of that! I should do that with my diamond studs when (if!) I have them reset. Thanks for tip, love! :wavey:

zhuzhu, you're very welcome! I've learned a few things fro this process, too! :bigsmile:
