to the thread about my ring. Love to hear your thoughts. Especially in bright light, it is soooo beautiful, a wonderful stone, cut faultlessly, and set so you can look down to the bottom of it like the deep sea. I'm SO LUCKY!!!!!!!! :cheeky:

Thanks for the Heyman link -- your point was well made & excellent, Heyman is not a cheaper Harry Winston. Winston's owned by a corp. now & while their jewelry is still beautiful, I don't see the unique imagination, at least in what they advertise, that used to be there. Heyman still has it & executes it -- about the only family firm with that incredible level of expertise left. The OP loves a specific Winston ring, but if I were Heyman, I'd be somewhat irritated at a request like that. Sheesh, if you go to Ferrari, don't ask them to knock off a Porsche for you!

Laurie, thanks so much! I've replied in the other thread. This ring is now kind of your signature piece and I admire you for that. That's what my gold band is going to be for me. I know from my almost ten years of collecting watches that figuring out what you want and ending up with what you wanted and still being able to want it and live with it is just not an easy thing. I was not successful with getting a "dream watch" and I tried so very hard and came so very close. I know that what I like best about PS is that we share the same ethic the original watch sites' participants did- we want people to be happy, we want people to understand what they're doing in terms of getting quality and value. You know how to do that in spades. I would have expected nothing less from you. Hugs!
