Dark facet on table, is it typical?

You have been so helpful! I appreciate your comments more than you know. I’m so tired of stressing over this. I’m glad you can see things like transparency and light scattering. Thank you!

One last question, would you change the orientation of the G to uncover the arrows? Would that make any difference in performance?

Ideally, it should be been mentioned when first ordered. It is still a reasonable request to change the orientation. I personally would not touch it; the finished ring appears to be well made. But that is from guy's perspective. You, as a wearer, may want to change it if it bothers you.

I would 100% consider these stones equal in size. Set stones always look larger so that should be a moot point. Something about the unset stone draws me in more based on the photos. It looks brighter and more pleasing to my eye. Good luck with your decision!

I wouldn’t consider changing the prong locations, either. It looks perfect to me in these last close up pictures. Your stone is seated securely and I wouldn’t want to undo that. The diamond reflects light from the top. So it doesn’t matter if it’s set low. A low setting makes it less likely to get hit on things. But if you want, show me a profile view so I can see how low it is set.

Thank you! I’m attaching a couple side profile pics to show how low it is set. Also, I’m including a photo that shows the “breaks” in the arrows. At first I thought it was a leakage issue but then I realized it was the prongs. Does this look ok? Thanks again!

I think that's just a prong reflection because you really are supposed to use those scopes with a loose stone. The diamond is set pretty perfectly with the arrows at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. The stone looks great!

The diamond is not really set low. In many solitaire settings, you can't see the culet at all because the head/crown is set lower into the band. So I'd consider this closer to medium height. If you like the style of this setting, I wouldn't alter it in any way. The stone set higher would be more at risk of getting hit on things and damaged.

I really like this diamond and think you have a winner! It looks very white in these photos, too!

Awesome! Thanks so much for taking the time to look at the photos and answer my questions. In time, I don’t think I will care as much about those arrows covered or the prong reflections. I truly appreciate your help! I’m leaning toward keeping this one as is.
