I finally made a decision on the 2 carat princess diamond for our 20th anniversary.
I was contacted by Jim Schultz at James Allen directly after expressing my concerns about the setting here at PS. He was very helpful! He went through his inventory, and given my desire to have a beautiful stone, he recommended this stone. It is a 2.0 Carat H VS2 that is close to square, and has a smaller table:

And again our setting:

I decided to go smaller since the diamonds I found that were 2.2-2.54 were a bit of a gamble on light performance. He suggested this diamond as one that would perform without dead spots. Since it is an anniversary ring, I decided I did not want to gamble just to get a larger stone, and then end up returning the stone as unsatisfactory. I want to be able to give my wife the ring, and know she will love it and wear it from that moment forward.
I went to the bank today and sent the wire. I can't wait! I will post pics once it arrives.
