Depicting diamond facets by code/location?

Hey guys, how do diamond experts define diamond localities/facets on a diamond/certification map? Is it something like, Bezel 1 or Star 4 or the likes [assuming there is a reference point to begin with, 12:00 say]? Hope this makes sense, cheers Dyr
