My FI and I have picked out the colors below for our wedding next fall, and we''re trying to come up with some sort of design theme that goes with them to tie everything together. We wanted colors that were fitting for the time of year, but not the typical fall fare. The blue (or something similar, maybe a touch brighter) will be used for the BM dresses, the tux vests/ties, ribbons on the bouquets, and other general accents, while the plum/burgundy/what-in-the-world-do-you-call-that-shade? will be the main color in the flowers, the color of the invite pocket fold or backing, etc. White will be used as necessary to brighten things up.
So, what I mean by design theme is some graphical element, style, etc that we can use in all the elements of the wedding to bring a feeling of cohesiveness other than just color. Be it stripes, the simplicity of blocks of color, some kind of pattern, the impression of a particular decade....what do you guys think these colors are meant for??
