I have been looking for a beautiful pair of diamond earrings. 2ctw. Will be happy to keep it slighly under 2ct to save budget. Can someone please advise whether its better to buy online plus tax and custom or buy in store. I live in Australia and I was offered a beautiful pair at $13500 from Dustin Jewellers and I blew it off. For a similar pair after a year the price is 16500. G SI3.I looked up stones on JA and comes to $16k. With tax it will be around $17-18k.

for 2ctw, I personally wouldn’t go below si1. It’s possible I suppose to find eye clean si3 and people won’t be up on your ear looking.....

I found a large jump in price going from 1.8ctw to 2ctw. I got a pair of F VS2 1.8ctw for around 10k from Blue Nile in US. Not sure what your online options are but I was able to use guidelines here to find a nice pair ( I have never had ideal cut stones and couldn’t see paying more for studs ).

SI3 is not even a GIA or AGS grade, so the GIA/AGS equivalent is I1. The labs that grade SI3 are not as accurate as GIA and AGS, so you cannot compare the prices of stones graded by two different labs.

I have had several pairs of studs (from Whiteflash because I like their high quality and upgrade policy) . I think G or H color are fine (mine are H color), and I also would not go lower than SI1.

They have a superideal cut (very top cut quality) pair at 1.03 cts each at about $14,300 US.

Thank you. I selected a K 1ct pair from WF. Now the paying part. Do you recommend wire transfer? I tried to pay through commonwealth and the exchange rate is so low. Have to pay abt 1k extra.What about Azmo? Any idea?
