Here is my new diamond fan pendant with a large aquamarine drop. I bought it recently in the Lanes, the jewellery quarter of my home town. It was handmade by the man from whom my mother bought my 21st ring, and his shop is called Midas Touch. The necklace is a one-off.

It's made of 18k white gold with diamonds, milgrain, bezelwork, and a teardrop aquamarine. The aquamarine is about 2 carats and the diamond weight is about 0.30. I got it at a great sale price. It was originally 895 pounds but I got it for 625, which came through as $954.00. This includes 20% sales tax. It's not only beautiful, but a fabulous deal when you look at all the workmanship.

I already had some earrings to wear with it: diamond and topaz twists whose blue is the exact hue of the aquamarine drop. They are 0.50 ctw with 1.17 carats of topaz. You'll see when you scroll down. The neck shot isn't that great. They were all very overexposed and the blue of of aquamarine is much more saturated in real life.

Enjoy!

More. It's a pity I just couldn't get better neck shots. It's overexposed and makes the piece look much paler than it is, when in real life the aquamarine is a gorgeous blue.

oh oh oh!!! YUMMY!!! Smith- that was a good call buying that trinket!! Very nice!! VERY nice!!

It really hangs well on you and I just adore that antique milgrain detail on it! Enjoy !

Thank you so much, Enerchi! Can you see why it was an impossible decision between this or the Trinity for $1,011 when the normal price for that is $1215? I mean, I HAD to get both, didn't I?

TOTALLY!! I hear ya- too good to pass up for sure!!

Ohh, it's lovely!! I love that it can be worn everyday or for a more special occasion. Great pick Smith!

I really love this design

Wow, that is a wonderful piece! I can see why you couldnt pass it up! It looks gorgeous on you Smith! There is not anything more lovely than a perfect colored aqua. Love love love!

Love, love love your pendant. Perfect!

It's beautiful Smith! I'm sure you're glad you bought it :)) And you already have matching earrings!

Outstanding necklace! Wow!

Thanks everyone! Woofmama, I know the earrings don't match exactly, but I think they're close enough, don't you? They're rectangular rather than oval or semi-circle like the pendant, so quite different lines, but I think it works. Hope so, as I can't afford to get more earrings!

How pretty!!! Looks very elegant on you!

Really lovely - I'm a sucker for detailing, especially milgraining. It looks great with the earrings too.

Oh, that is a beautiful pendant, Smith! And the earrings are great with it, too! :appl:

Thanks everyone! I really stretched the budget to get this pendant, the Cartier Trinity, the opal double drops and the natural blue pearls all in the same trip, but it was worth it. Someone on here recently said that the pieces they didn't get were always the ones that haunted her, and I know exactly what she meant. I'll never forget the pink sapphire DBTY that I left behind in Aruba once. Never seen anything close. So although it was a stretch to get all that at once, I don't regret it as the prices were absolutely amazing!

Oooooh, pretty!

It is just beautiful Smith, such an elegant and graceful look, and it looks great with the earrings!! I actually prefer earrings that differ from the necklace a bit, as opposed to a matching set.

Very pretty, I love the deco inspiration :)

I ABSOLUTELY love this! What a gorgeous pendant! seriously, I may or may not be drooling a bit! :o

That is really beautiful!

Thanks so much, everyone! Fancy, if you love it that much I'm sure he'd make one for you!

I SO should not have bought both this AND the Trinity. But the prices....I don't REALLY regret it, even though I shouldn't have done it!
