This stone, like the one in my engagement ring, has been passed down in my family for some time. Originally, it was in a gold setting that I am going to try to find some photos of, but it was certainly not my style. The sapphire though, was DEFINITELY my style! I brought it in to a local jeweler and basically described a setting like you see here. The only details I have about the ring is that it's a 14k white gold split shank with 24 round diamonds that are .36 ctw. The sapphire itself is 8 x 16 mm. And just for reference, I have a 5.5 size finger. I certainly don't wear this every day, because it's a bit "meaty" :) (won't complain there!) but I love the shade of blue, especially in daylight! The kittens are our fosters which will be leaving us to go to their forever home very soon! They prefer sleep over sapphires apparently.

Interesting size and shape! How lovely to inherit a family piece that you love so much.

Do you know if the stone is natural?

I do believe it is lab created. I can't imagine how much it would be worth if it was natural! It's a bit too perfect. But to me, what I see on my finger is the same :)

Lovely stone, perfect setting! :appl: Makes your fingers look even more long and graceful!

Oh, oh my....that stone is TDF!!!! What presence and color. Wear it in health!

That is a statement ring if there ever was one. It looks great on you.
