I went on this machine dig 3 weeks ago. 11 people got invited to use heavy machinery to dig for amethyst, smoky, and few other quartz types
Here is the video and the pictures of some of my picks after cleaning with acid..just about all amethyst and smoky have managanese and iron-oxide stains on them so you can't tell whats got good color or clairty until cleaning..
I got 7th pick after drawing numbers and the owner got every 3rd so I was like 10th in picking specimen order..so many better ones were picked before me
5 amethyst specimens pictured and one yellow quartz over growth with sugary quartz(makes it twinkle)
They are still soaking in acid so have some staining lefdt on them and I had to set some in grass so some have leaves and twings on them
That top one weighs well over 15 pounds
