I am having my diamond reset into a different setting.

I had it reset last year into a bezel setting which I wanted or so I thought.. once I had it after about 4 months I just was not happy with the way it made my diamond look.

So, now I am wating for my ring to be finished getting set into a Solitaire with the "surprise" diamond.
This is actually my third time changing my setting in 4 years. My husband is amazing and just wants me to be happy, so goes along with whatever I want lucky me..lol

Am I the only one that seems to be on the never ending quest for that perfect setting??

You''re not the only one. At some point I do think it''s healthy to settle down and be happy with what you have.

Yeah, you''re definitely not the only one. But I do agree with MC. I always have my eye out for different settings but I never make the change because I do LOVE my current setting but there are just so many different beautiful settings out there that always make me want to change it. It sounds like you are now going with a really classic setting which I think you will always love down the road. I tend to be attracted to trendier styles but then remember why I love mine - it is classic and will always be in style. Post pics when you get your new reset and good luck!

As long as you are happy that is all that matters. Once you get the "right" setting you will have it for a while, sometimes it takes no resets and sometimes several. Post pics when you get your ring back, I''m sure it will look great.. I love Solitaires with a small surprise diamond!

I think that is the juxtaposition of settings.

How do you have a setting you like when your style and tastes develop all the time?

Maybe you should have your husband add diamonds to all your settings so you can change them up when you want!

PS: don''t tell him I suggested that!

I have been so in awe at all the different styles that I have seen here on pricescope. The temptation on here in endless.
However if you are unhappy I say change it. Whilst styles come and go, I personally prefer the more simple styles. Do lots of research, try on lots of styles (yay, one of my favourite things to do!!) and hopefully find the setting of your dreams. Good Luck and please let us know how the search goes. I love progress updates!!!

Thank you ladies! I really love this new one that I am getting so I think it is going to be the "keeper" lol!

I will be back with pics in a few days!

Ah - I''m the other way round, I''ve got the setting design down - it''s the darned diamonds I keep debating!

Yep, we''ve pretty much all been there. That''s why we''re Pricescopers.

I have reset mine so many times that I truly have lost count. I thought there was something wrong with me, until I found Pricescope!

I know--its funny that there are people mostly care about the stone or the stone size, those that just care about the setting and of course those that care about both. I am so setting focused that I would rather a smaller stone in a setting of my own design than a larger stone in a generic setting.................

You know... I understand what you are saying. My center stone is pretty large and the setting design I want to do right now is going to be pulling in some serious cash, that I am hesitant to actually dive in. I need to sit on it for a bit and see if after a month or so, it''s still itching, then i''ll do it. When you plunk in a wad of $$$ for a custom setting, you BETTER be loving it when it''s done cause I don''t have much $$$ to throw around for another setting for a while!
