Looking to get some diamond stud earring for my girlfriend for her birthday next month. I really wanted to get a pair of upgradeable diamonds from White Flash, but it may exceed my budget.

So i came across these, 14K WG 3/4ctw Round Diamond 4-Prong Stud Earrings (H-I,I1-I2)

http://www.netaya.com/3rd050wgmghsi12-01.html

or 14K WG 1/2ctw Round Diamond 3-Prong Stud Earrings (G-H,SI1-SI2)

http://www.netaya.com/3rd050wgmghsi12-01.html

What do you guys think? They are both around $450 with a 20% coupon right now. I really want to get them from Whiteflash, but its twice the price and i just graduated from college.

Okay, a really bad sign would be the following quote from the description of the first earrings:

"NOTE: Stud Earring images are for reference purposes only, the actual product size and quality may vary from pictured."

There is a good chance the earrings may not be as pretty as the ones in the picture! If I were you, I''d get smaller studs for your GF, that are upgradable, and plan on upgrading in a few years.

You just graduated from college and it makes sense to get the best you can on your budget! Well cut smaller diamonds will look better than crappy cut larger diamonds.

If you are on a tight budget, have you thought of costco? Recent posters have been happy with their product, and at least they have a *great* return policy.

Thanks for the help, but costco doesn''t have any studs right now

if you''re comfortable sharing your budget we can help you find options...

Prolly around 500
