...their ring? I think I must be one of Whiteflash''s worst nightmares. I think I have changed my mind about four times when choosing my new setting.

I wonder if anyone else has been as bad as me? Probably not.. I have a reputation in my house of being a bit of a dither when it comes to making a decision.

FOUR YEARS. It took me four years. I bothered EVERY vendor on here. Kept changing my mind. I was a total PITA. Your fine honey. It''s going to be beautiful, and worth the effort nd pain when you get done. I promise.

Wow, four years! It was worth it in the end though! Your ring is beautiful!

I have made a decision and placed the order.....

I tend to be hasty, and then think of other things I love too.

Not that I am unhappy, mind you, but I see a halo or shield side stones and think, OOOHHHH how nice. I guess bottom line is I can tend to second guess myself...but it is not that I am unhappy with what I have.

I think I was definitely too hasty when I was trying to choose my setting. I think I was just in too much of a hurry to get it!

Once I saw 'The One' I was happy to order though. Of course then I had to choose whether to go for white gold or platinum... then off we went again!

Interesting, but this hasn''t been much of a problem for me. I think I have a certain set of criteria in mind, and once those are met, I''m happy with the result. However, if you want the best, or your most favorite and nothing less, then it probably makes things harder to choose. Or maybe I''m just less picky. Don''t know for sure.

The funny thing is, I always knew what I really wanted. But I wouldn''t buy it for fear of having to keep having the little stones replaced.

The way I see it now is I am very careful with my rings and if I lose a stone its ok. Its easily fixed.

I should say that I changed my mind about upgrading the diamond and decided that I should get a new setting for now.

Oh ok, well a new setting will be lovely!

We had car trouble and needed to pay out for that. I didn''t change my mind about the upgrade because I didn''t want it.

I wonder if changing the ring becomes a hobby for people...sort of like decorating your home. I''m not much into that, either.

I had a chance to change my mind but never did; I guess I am sort of sentimental w/the setting my hubby and I choose together.

Maisie when you are in Houston can you make up your mind then?? I think that is a perfect time to try on and look at all the settings, no? How exciting!

I can''t come to Houston. My husband was supposed to be looking after the children but his boss won''t give him time off. I am sure I will visit sometime, just not this time.

Oh darn. Well go with what your heart says.

I will stay with the split shank. I think its gorgeous.

I feel really tired from thinking about this new setting. I have a tendency to over-think and worry about things. Thats probably why I change my mind so much. I worry about making a mistake.

it sounds really pretty, maisie. i was wondering what was going on with your upgrade project. the halo and split shank will look lovely with your stone! can''t wait for the finished product.

Thank you Erica. Its my dream setting!

Maisie what a lovely setting! Can''t wait to see!

I change my mind constantly. I choose quickly, and then change my mind after the fact. I''m trying to stop being so hasty, as I think about my reset. I''ve been thinking/plotting/planning, and then I see a lovely SMTR setting, and it changes again!

Very excited for you to get your dream setting!

I''m glad its not just me then! I need to learn to slow down and think more. That way I wouldn''t feel so awful for messing Whiteflash about.

Love the split shank!

Don''t fret! I think what you''re going through is natural. I second guessed myself many times and every time I see someone else post a new setting I love, I still think .... *hmm*

but ... I love my setting and it makes me happy, however, I just know that no matter what setting I ultimately have, even if I changed 500 times, I would still be on the prowl for something else ... If it makes you happy, it''s the right one.

Better charge up your camera batteries, lady ... We''re gonna need pictures, big time!
