Thanks for indulging me in my quest to find a band that works well with my ring. Feel free to give your opinion because I can still return. image_1377.jpgimage_1378.jpg

Personally I like the look of "more diamonds less metal" which is why I voted return, but your ER is gorgeous ! Have fun in your search !

I actually really like this! Your e-ring is to blingtastic that I appreciate the subtlety of the band.

Thank you! That's the look I was trying to achieve but I was worried about the width of the band.

I think the width of the band is fine. Your ring is gorgeous. Can you share details?

braga, both rings are beautiful - your diamond is magnificent!
My thought was that the combo looks OK, but as another poster said, "less metal, more diamond". I would love to see a diamond band more the width of your e-ring band. In all honesty, the band looks as though it is competing with the e-ring. But that is just my personal preference.

I like the width and the style but there are much better made rings than this. Looks like a channel set band and those stones need to be closer together - again, less metal.

You're on the right track I think but I'd want this style better executed.

This is basically what I was going to say...if this was a ring already in your jewelry box I think its fine and goes well, but since
you are starting from scratch I think there has got to be something a little more special to go with your ring.

I said yes because there's nothing "wrong" with it, and I'm picky about bands. The thickness is good for your ering and since it's a channel you wont have to worry about any diamonds scratching. That said, I'm sure you could find something that works even better, but you almost always can, that's why I have so many bands, lol.

My husband votes for this one. Any thoughts?

Curved bands (to me, I have one) make sense when they are snug against the base of a ring, that's what they're for. When there's no way they will actually fit under or next to a ring, they look off. I prefer the straight band, but maybe in a more antique and mixed cut style, like the curved.

I have to agree in that I don't like the curved band with your stunning ering. Maybe I like the look better because it's not channel set?

I like the channel set but I think a prong set might be prettier.

I think it looks pretty, but I wonder if a bead set band would give the same essential function (i.e., protection against ering), but sparkle more with less metal. Do a google image search for "bead set diamond band" and see what comes up. It won't copy and paste for me tonight!

Thank you. It is an EGL USA cert stone, J VS2, although in certain lighting it seems warmer, but I am terrible at gauging colors. One of the reasons I am having a hard time matching with a band is because of the color.

The band is pretty but it competes with your stunning e-ring.

From all the options I love your e-ring as a standalone ring
A ring like your husband chose could work as it has a bit of a vintage style, but I agree with other posters that a straight band looks better than a curved band.

The curved band is very pretty and relates better to the stone. I think what is bothering me about both bands is that they seem to be pushing on the diamond. If the diamond and the bands were parallel it would work better. I like the gap, but because it's wider where the stone and the band meet it looks as though the e-ring and band don't go together and are kind of awkward.

I was trying to find an image to show, and it looks like this is a style - so I guess I'm old-fashioned. I wonder if you could talk to a designer and perhaps have something made. In any event, that e-ring is a knockout and anything you pair with it or if you wear it alone it will be wonderful. You really can't go wrong.

I love it! keep it.. do you have trouble keeping them together? I love your stone..!!!! :wavey: :wavey:

I so love your ring.. but I'm not crazy about either band...

I tried and tried to find a band that I liked with me EC to wear on my left hand and and I simply couldn't.. just decided it was a right hand ring and to be done.. so I know your struggle.

Your setting is low and the diamond is huge ( :naughty: )... I was wondering if something a little more understated and curved would work... I saw this one and thought of you.

The channel set one looks nice enough, but I still think it's a little too wide, and maybe a little too high? - out of the two I like the curved band, I think the vintage feel of it suits your ering. Does it spin? That might start to bug you.

Your ering setting looks fairly low, and has a wide base (I think)- that's how mine is and finding bands that work is challenging. I find that a low-set, somewhat thin band works best with my ering.

I'm not a fan of either band that you've posted. I picture your ring with something like this

Which ring are you referring to?

Momhappy, thanks for your suggestions but I have actually tried many similar to your lovely choices, but my stone's cut and color don't work well with modern round colorless bands :((

Kristentech: I love the bead set, but I have the same issue, cut and color don't work well

Have you considered a non-diamond but engraved band? That may suit it nicely.

What is the cut & color of your ring? I wasn't necessarily posting exact rings - just general styles that might work well. The bands that I posted were all from Etsy and probably customizable (to some extent) as far as diamonds and/or metal are concerned. I just don't care for all of the metal on the first band that you posted - it makes for an odd fit with your ring and even the colors of the metals seem to be off (unless that's just the picture, shadowing, etc.). The second band seems to sit too low, but that's just a personal preference. Anyways, good luck on your choice - I know it can be difficult to find the right ring. I had to purchase two before I found the right one :)
