Like with many that are new to site or have just begun there diamond shopping adventures, I am completely overwhelmed with the variety of cuts there are. For starters, I know that I am not interested in the modern cut (crushed ice w/ the X marking). So far I have the below notes from different online sites. My range is probably 16k with maximum budget of $20k ($15k for diamond and $5k for setting). I am hoping for any additional leads or comments to my notes below. Thanks everyone and have a great weekend.

GoodOldGold - sells AVC and Brellia (stunning diamonds but at a premium)

Victor Canera - victor no longer accepts vintage cuts from GOG, and the diamond that he has is almost 5k above my budget.

James Allen - didn't realize they had OMC diamonds until today, but didn't have anything within my budget.

Leo Mege - found this http://www.micropave.com/index.php/...h-1-55-f-si1-antique-cushion-cut-diamond.html but would like some information and my only issue is that its a SI1.

ERD cut above - priced cheaper, but need to do more research on what the differences are. (assuming you get what you pay for)

OWD - limited selection, didn't see anything in my budget

JannPaul - sell Brellia diamonds, but are based in Singapore (prefer not to have to deal with customs

Hi TTP! I would call some of these vendors because you never know what they can get for you within your parameters/price range. Not everything they have or can get is on their site. For starters I would call Mark at ERD and Adam at OWD. They are both great to talk to and I bet they can find an amazing diamond/ring for you! In any case I would call whichever vendors you are interested in because speaking to them always opens up more options for you vs just seeing what they have online.

Good luck!!

oh my gosh i would probably jump on that LM ring in a heartbeat!
Many ladies on here recommend SI1 clarity, because if its eye clean, you end up saving a fair amount of money. Id give him a ring and ask if the stone is eye clean. Oh that ring is just too pretty, and its already finished. If that was the style you were going for i would do it

also i know diamonds by lauren sells that type of cushion

J color honker from Leon ...see her story on page 3:

"So at the end of the day and after months of searching we decided to go ahead with Leon''s stone and I just love it. The J doesn''t bother me at all and mostly it looks icy white and I only notice a tiny bit of warmth very occasionally from certain angles (my e-ring is an E and there is a very slight difference but really not very much)."

Thanks for all your assistance so far. I realize that it is tiring to have the same questions asked repeatedly by new user's, but I am trying to gather as much information firsthand.

I will reach out the folks at ERD and OWD and see if they have any diamonds that aren't or haven't been advertised onlnie.

The Leon Mege ring is definitely the style that I want and the fact that is is ready is very appealing. While the SI1 is still a concern, if it is eye clean that it would be in high consideration. My only other concern is that there have been not so great reviews with Leon's recent workmanship and attitude.
