Thank you!!!

"She isn't even white....: SHMUCK (and that's the only polite word I could find. And that's after a full half hour!).

Oh boy. Ok. No sapphires.

How about these: http://www.leibish.com/yellow-diamond/041ct-fancy-yellow-trapezoid-vs1-99728-16871 for your daughters.
And this one for you: http://www.leibish.com/yellow-diamond/093ct-fancy-light-yellow-cushion-si1-92415-16116

Leibish can take picture of the three of them together for you so you can see how the colors and proportions match.

1,600 for the sidestones.
3,300 for the center
_______
5,000 total for the stones. So very budget friendly.

And set it like this (ERD could do this for you and do it well) for about ( around 3500 in platinum, you'd want some yellow gold)

Yes, he said that. To mutual acquaintances. And, in motions filed at family court. I wonder if he spends his spare time, after thinking of yet other ways to avoid paying child support, on Stormfront.

As for the ring, I like that!

Spinels, garnets and tourmalines come in a variety of colours, instead of sapphires?

DK :))

There's other gem types and sapphires come in many other hues, not just blue. Are you looking for a completed ring (one stop shop)?

When Gypsy said three stone representing you and your two daughters, I immediately thought of this ring I saw IRL at Firestone and Parson in Boston. It was amazing, stunning. Clearest emerald ever, and the whitest diamonds. I think they were estimated to be Ds. If I only had $$$...

And the color of this sapphire just made me melt...

Just some ideas... ;)

I like my corundum, just not blue. He ruined one of my favorite stone colors.

One-stop or not - no preference.

Copper-bearing tourmaline? Turquoise is one of my favorite colors. A three-stone with a glowy blue-green tourmaline and diamond sidestones?

That emerald is gorgeous! I may have to stop by the colored stone board to look for vendor recommendations....

And, I agree that the sapphire is beautiful. However, the ring you posted is a far better version of the ering that my ex gave me....

Take a look at the pics in Jeff White's sold gemstones gallery for Tourmalines:

http://www.whitesgems.com/tourmalinegallery.html

and Spinels (more suited for daily wear than Tourmaline):

and Garnets:

Everyday wear or occasional wear? If everyday wear, I will focus on sapphires only. Any hint of a budget?

I'd want the option to wear it daily. However, I tend to change up my RHRs.

As for budget, no idea at this point. It depends on what the court finds that this creep has, what half of that is, and how much of that I can file liens on and then liquidate. In any event, no more than $12,000. I'm investing the rest.

That's killer: a happy pink spinel or a fiery spess?

The other CS experts will correct me if I am wrong, however, I believe Spinels with good colour saturation are getting harder to find, and the prices have shot up significantly in the past couple of years.

For an occasional wear ring, I may opt for a deep pink Tourmaline (Jeff is cutting a 12mm approx. stone for a pendant project for me).

For my dream ring, it will be a deep pink sapphire.

Given that you want to wear it quite frequently without too much care, I would advice spinel over spessartite (garnet).
