Benzaclin (which is clindamycin +benzorol peroxide) works wonders too. It''s prescription only and unfortunately $50 a pop . It is mixed when you get it and only lasts 3 months after mixing.

I''m in the Physician''s Formula camp...I don''t have crazy breakouts anymore but still get the errant couple of zits once a month. It is by far the best concealor I''ve ever found. Also, DH uses a great product by Neutrogena, it''s a little tube of concealor he uses for undereye dark circles in "corrective yellow." Anything green or yellow seems to really counter the red/inflamed spots or even the grayish tones under eyes. Dermablend is another great coverup that comes to mind, I know several women who swear by it.

And one more thing: a little bit of sun has always worked wonders for my skin...not full-on laying out, tanning, but 15-20 minutes of afternoon sun on the face (sans sunscreen, sorry, I know it''s not the healthiest thing) has always helped clear my skin. Maybe it''s all that Vitamin D?

Thanks, for the tips, stubbles. Thankfully, here we have mandatory (private or public) prescription insurance, so I always get a refund for my prescriptions. Good thing too, ''cause Differin isn''t cheap either.

''Fraid not, it''s actually the UV rays burning your skin and either killing off the nasty bacteria in there or drying up any excess oil.

My regime is gentle cleanser + chemical exfoliant / medicated lotion (mine is called Zineryt, it''s erythromycin and zinc) + gentle moisturiser at night (if needed) / gentle moisturiser with spf during the day.

I''ve never tried the Smashbox primer or the Physician''s Formula makeup - great to hear all the recommendations, must suss those out!

Yellow for dark spots, green for red! In moderation or you''ll look like sorbet!
