You advice please:

Thanks in advance

Yes, if your band is making contact with your Ering. The diamonds on your band can chew up your Ering in a hurry. My wife is using a 2mm spacer ring b/t her Ering and her 5 stone diamond band

Yes, you do need a spacer... it can be either gold or platinum.

I personally don't like the look or feel of a spacer band. Yes, your diamond band will eat into your prongs. Just make sure your ring is insured, that you rotate/flip your engagement ring, and check the prongs for wear. If you don't wear a spacer band, you may eventually need a new setting.

Yes, get plat if you want them to "match".

I think you should do it in 18kt white as it will blend better with your e-ring. The diamond band, while in platinum, stands on its own.

The 18K white gold will rub off the rhodium and it will look "yellow" pretty quick. At least with the plat you won't have that. This is speaking from personal experience.

Do you think this will happen with just a low simple band? I’ve had stacking bands and never had an issue. I’m thinking as long as the band falls below the prong line so the prongs are not grinding against the band... what do you think?

Try a rose gold spacer. It will be like "nude"...

It might. Time will tell. I honestly don't buy white gold in rings anymore for myself because of this. Replating makes me nutty.

There’s a tiny space between the band and the prongs that’s why I am not sure. Oh well I could order one and if I don’t like it I’ll return it. Thanks guys!

They sell what I call a spacer at Tiffany’s, it is sterling silver, my wife uses it. I have attached picture.photo_836.jpg

Here is a Tiffany link to something close, they don’t sell the exact one anymore

Wonderful idea. Would sterling silver work well between the 2 types of metal? If so I’ll get a silver one!

Yes, my wife’s space from Tiff is Sterling silver. I notice they are out of stock now, ugh.

Also check out eweddingbands.com, they have a lot of variety for 1 or 2 mm bands in different metals. Good luck.

Also checkout eBay for inexpensive or you want to try a size before you spend serious money

You could also look at a knife-edge band if you want a visually unobtrusive option?
