Hello all! I need some experts to tell me what you think of this sapphire please? Do you think it will be too dark in real life? And/or mounted in my halo? Thanks all!!

I'm not an expert but I think I know who the seller is and I've had huge problems with his sapphires. I think this will definitely be dark.
It's also incredibly shallow and will most probably have a window.

It's everything you don't want in any gemstone type; overly dark, windowed and flat as a pancake. This sapphire will look dead / lifeless in person.

OK, one more. There is just something about this spess. It reminds me of a fire! So please tell me what I'm missing

That spess is a beauty--check the other hand pics. I recognized it as soon as I saw it. Great vendor...bought many stones there and they have all been great and well cut. Go for it if you decided you are ok with Orange

JBK - please don't shoot me **cringing emotie** but I want to point out a few things about that stone in case they might bother you. First, it appears to have a brown modifier - that is, it is not saturated enough to be pure yellowish orange, but has some brown to it. Keep in mind that I am on a quest for my holy grail of a vivid, ever so slightly reddish orange spess, so I really notice brown which may not bother you at all. The second thing is that the color is not constant, but differs with the top third by the tip. This is a function of the cut and the light reflection, kind of like the half and half extinction you see in many oval stones. If you watch the video, it is fairly noticeable. Sometimes it bothers folks, sometimes it doesn't. I just wanted you to be aware of it...

That said, it is well cut with a good-sized table and is a pretty stone, if you don't mind its little idiosyncrasies as mentioned above.

No shooting necessary! This is why I ask for opinions and advice - to point out things that either I don't see or can't see due to my newbie-ness.
In this case - there is something about the color inconsistincey that I rather like. In other colors I generally do not like the extinction.
My hope is that this stone will have a great "glow" that will really pop off the white halo of my ring. Without going dark like so many others

I do not know the vendor and it seems like there are other pictures and a video of this spessartite out there, therefore, I cannot and will not make any comments without seeing them first.
