Do your friends and family know about your love of diamonds/jewelry?

Hmmm.....everyone knows about my obsession, but I must confess I don''t rush to show friends/family my latest acquisitions....for fear of being thought crazy or even worse...being committed! LOL...

Diamonds are my guilty pleasure, so generally Hubby is the only one who knows how bad it is! Unfortunately for him. I keep quiet with other people as they already think I am bonkers anyway with my blingage and wellie boots! Especially when I am covered in straw and horse muck with my diamond being the only clean thing I am wearing twinkling away!

We all have our vices.....

It''s very new to me so no one suspects. But I keep it to myself...and only myself.

I live in San Francisco like KristyDarling, and find myself either hanging around my friends who were in the PeaceCorps and are horrified by conflict diamonds and what misery diamond mining brings to the world (OK I admit they are very correct buuuuttt.....). And then there is the other crowd I hang with, that would never notice my little bling because they are covered in huge ones. But I have a newly educated and discriminating eye...and some of those huge ones don''t cut the mustard...and I''ll always take a small diamond and a husband I''m crazy about than a huge diamond given to me to compensate for a crappy marriage and husband like some of my friends...
Unless...I can have both!

My husband and my sisters know. Other people know that I have an interest in jewels, but not the extent of my "interest" (*cough* addiction *cough* ) My parents in law are very down to earth and I don''t wear diamonds around them, I usually stick to my sterling pieces.

Well...my husband knows that I love diamonds...but not how much. He would freak if he did! My son who is getting married May 29th told me to try to get a job at Robbins Bros. since I made a flower delivery to a district store manager of one of their stores and we hit it off so well. She noticed my ring and we talked and she gave me her card...

No one knows to what extent I am addicted...there...I said it...holy crap! I am lucky none of my family visits PS cuz if they did, they would now know!

I am ALWAYS noticing other people''s bling now and I cannot help it. My best GF has a cute little heart shaped diamond solitaire and I have given her suggestions when she asked...but only when she asked.

I have gotten started way late on this addiction due to my attention being on the kids, the house, groceries, etc. Now, it''s mama''s time to have some fun!

Most of my friends are also very down to earth. My parents-in-law are also down to earth. That is why I never wear any of my diamond jewelry around them.
