Goldfish8 was exactly who I was thinking of! I'm glad she posted! It's not exactly the same but very similar.

OOH Gorgeous!! Thank you for sharing! Everyone says halos are everywhere , however I couldn't find one like this to save my life or at least an in real life pic! I am having this setting made and was a little worried it would look too large on my size 5 finger. May I ask the specs on your ring? and your finger size? I love the different shanks! Very pretty!!! I have the first CAD of this ring which I've already had to tweak. This pic helps. THANKS!!!!

Hi Birdi! :appl:

The stone is a 3.01 cushion (8.69x7.63x5.14) GVS1 and my ring size is 6 ( I like to wear it a smidge loose). It is approx 11mm across ( North-South) with the Halo.

I don't think it looks too big! What size stone are you having put in? I think the setting is quite gorgeous!

Hi Goldfish! :twirl: This is my second setting the first one my fiancé had custom made to look like tacori 2578 however, it's been to the ring dr. Three times thus far and I've only had it since August 25th. he wants me to pick a new setting so I tried to find one with a thicker shank hence my post. here's a pic of my first setting with H & A 2ct center G SI1 8.10mm
image_90.jpg

I am a little worried...all I keep hearing is the new setting will take away from center stone ...halos are trendy etc... I wasn't a huge fan but I am now the more I troll for pictures!!

Goldfish, I forgot to thank you for posting your specs, from what you said it looks like your halo added about 2mm to your center stone and by the looks of it perfectly proportionate to your fingers!! yay!! feeling better now that I've seen yours:)

OH NO! having to send my ring away three times would put me in a state of perpetual worry too!

Regarding "taking away from the center stone" ... this can happen depending on the setting... but a halo can also really enhance a stone if it is done right and it looks proportionate (this is only my personal opinion...) I think that halo's - though trendy in the sense that lots of people have them - can also be classy and timeless. I don't see them going anywhere anytime soon! To be honest with you, I wasn't a huge fan of Halo's before either! I actually told my bf I wanted the simplest setting possible... but then I got this ring and I JUST LOVED IT!

So I really think it is a personal preference thing... maybe try on some halos and see how you feel or try on some rings with thicker band action..I know you are worried about your ring breaking again, but if you don't like the look of the multiple (three) shank rings maybe do a split shank halo? those are really quite stunning when done properly!

I really hope you get your dream (& sturdy) ring!!!

Hello ladies,

Both your rings are stunning.

I have a similar ring, pave, triple shank, cathedral and halo, so I thought I would share a photo. I purchased the stone to use in a right-hand ring and I had the ring made this way because I wanted more coverage on my finger and because the center stone was not as large as I would have liked. Here is how it turned out and I love it!

I am sure your ring will be gorgeous!

It's finally here!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!

Good for you! I hope you love your new setting, it looks beautiful!! :appl:

I was trying to tell from the sketches whether you have the option of wearing one of the bands alone (it looked like the one in the middle maybe?). Or is it all one ring that you can slip on and off together?

Whatever the design, it really looks great on your hand, so ENJOY!!

Really beautiful ring Birdie! I too have a halo and I love it. Enjoy!!!

Thank you!!! I've been through hell regarding this ring and I'm glad it's over!! it actually is one band It looks like they merged three bands together.
ill post a better pic so you can see the side view.
it's funny because the jeweler included a wedding band that is so thin and tiny when we opened the package my FI said "this looks like it would fit on a five year old Lol! Im on the fence about wedding band. definitley too small to wear alone. And I could definitley see me misplacing it.

This one is with tiny wedding band lol

Thanks Goldfish!! :loopy: I really do love it!! I find the finger coverage to be perfect ! Not too big not to small but just right! Whew...ring saga is over! I also ordered my FI's wedding band and it is perfect as well hip hip hooray!! :appl: still not sure about my wedding band but I'm happy!! Thanks for taking the time to help:)

No Prob! I am so glad it worked out... I feel your pain, I too am still in an ongoing quest to find the perfect band... it is REALLY REALLY hard to find something that will work with this type of ring. I want something substantial but also complimentary ... As you know it will be tough because our rings look like they already have two bands ... Please please keep us updated if you find the perfect band! I will be especially interested as we sort of have the same issues

:wavey:

Absolutely Goldfish!!! Ill be sure to let you know!! I hope you have a great weekend

Very pretty, that must cost a lot. :D

Thanks! I have no idea what it cost:) but I do know the new setting cost 2,000 more with my old setting as a trade in. :) FI thinks it would be rude of me to ask:) he's an odd one when we go out to eat he says if I look at the bill, I have to pay...I never look!
