??? We bought it on July 20th and still havent heard anything from them?!?! We already got the certificate and credit card in the mail, but no ring yet?!?! Thanks :-)

It might depend on whether the ring is ornate, or, a plain shank.

But I''d imagine about 2 weeks tops in most cases.

When I dropped mine off to be sized, they gave me an estimated date and took my email address so they could notify me when it got back into my local store. It was estimated at 14 days and actually took 12, I think. It may be different if you''re doing it by mail, but I''m sure you can call them and ask, just make sure to have your order number and/or the serial number of the ring handy.

Shouldn''t be too complicated...but then again, this is probably a really busy time of year with people getting new wedding rings.....

Hello,

I have the same ring! :-) If I remember correctly, it took 9 or 10 days for mine. They did give me a "promised by date" which was a Friday, but told me it was stuck on the armored truck somewhere and didn''t come in until the following Monday. They had originally told me one week. Do they always send them back to NY for sizing? I believe thats what they told me they did. (Mine was purchased from the King of Prussia mall near Philly, so maybe it is a distance thing to NY - I am not sure where you are located).

On another note, are you planning to get the matching half circle bead-set wedding band? I got it back in December (my wedding is in October) because they warned me the price of Platinum was going up..sure enough I got the wedding band for $1525 and one month later it was $2100. Just a piece of advice if you know you want the matching band you may want to get it early before the prices go up! (and everyone thought we were silly for shopping for it so early)

I''d love to hear the specs on your ring..if I had known he was ring shopping and been able to weigh in on the decision I probably would have had him go for a lower clarity and a bit larger center stone..but by the time I found out what it really was it was past the 30 day return deadline. (though I do like the fact that my engagement was a COMPLETE surprise!)

Good luck!!

oh, and my change was from a 6 to a 4.75..

hey I thought u had the channel set one?? We got a .55 I VS2..it was between that one and a .68 and I think it was a G VVS1 maybe?? but there was a 2g price diff and we decided we''d rather spend the money elsewhere (vacations and what not) than for him to buy a bigger stone.... plus we plan on upgrading in 10 years when he gets out of med school..and I actually loved the smaller stone on my finger.. I think its more appropriate for me right now.. Im 23...so I dont need a huge rock on my finger :-) esp since I know Ill have a 1.5ct+ in 10 years.. :-) and i LOVE that its from tiffanys.. but it also has a special meaning for us.. he was the first guy to ever get me anything from there..and it the first piece of jewelry he got me was from there soo.. it was special... and u know its a quality ring :-)

Normally 2 weeks.

I am currently well versed in this topic, as I just got my ring sized. I went in to Tiffany''s last friday, where we decided on the size. My sales associate then sent it off to NY to get it sized, and told me it would be 7 working days, so I expected to get a call sometime next week, Monday would be the day that made 7 working days... but they called today and told my boyfriend that it was in! We are in CA too, which is far from NY,so I would definately call to check on your ring. It may be sitting in the store, and someone fouled up and didn''t call.... I wish you luck and hope nothing is wrong. I had mine sized from a 6 to a 4 and it is platinum, so i don''t know why yours is taking so long... good luck... let us know!
Take care,
Anna

Bananaboat-You are lucky, I have my e-ring sized 3 times, and it took at least 1.5 weeks.

All the changes and repair work I ever had done there took from 3 weeks to a month. I think a lot of it depends on the time of year you need the work done.

ah, you remembered me?!

I know I typed channel set in my first post, (I actually realized that right after I submitted the post) but no, its the same bead-set one. UGGG..I wonder what size I could have had if mine were I VS2..*sigh* oh well.

I was quoted 7 business days for a simple resizing (Tiffany knife edge band). I haven''t actually bought the band, so have not tested the "7 days" theory. :)
