I used to wear my engagement ring on my left hand and wedding band (channel set princess) on my right because they looked too bulky on one hand. Am I the only one?

A friend of mine wears her engagement ring which is a bezel set amazing pink diamond in a modern and creative platinum setting on her left hand. It's definitely a stand alone ring and her trinity wedding ring on the other. They look great.

Wow a pink diamond? That's sounds gorgeous. I would love to see a pic of it. I'm sure others would as well ; )

Re: Does anyone wear there E ring and band on separate hands

I wear mine on different hands. My wedding ring on my left and my engagement ring on my right. I do have a band to stack with my engagement ring to wear on my left hand if I feel like it.

I don't really like my solitaire with a band, so I either wear it alone or wear a band on my left hand.

Yes!!! Please ask her whether she would like to share a photo of that ring!

Re: Does anyone wear there E ring and band on separate hands

I do it sometimes, especially if I'm having a skinnier day as my right hand is bigger. I thnk I prefer it but I'm not 100% yet. I only had my new ering (reset) for about ten days and then sent it back to resize smaller. My 12 year old likes it better with both on the left hand. I'm hemming and hawing about getting another more visible band to stack in between the two bands. I do wear them ("now") together with a .08mm spacer, but you don't really see it. It's to protect the pave that goes down the ering. I may post about it to ask for some advice. When I get it back (hopefully end of this week, but likely early next) I will reassess the situation. My husband is Spanish and they wear their rings on the right hand. He actually has two bands, too, and wears them both daily! He looks married in either country. :sun:

Re: Does anyone wear there E ring and band on separate hands

My ering is a stand alone type ring, so I never wear anything else on that finger with it. I have several right hand rings that I wear including my eternity.

Re: Does anyone wear there E ring and band on separate hands

Yes, I often do the same, erring left and band right. But I do change up all the time.

I am a lefty, as well, and sometimes wear band left, erring right if I am writing or doing something with my dominant hand.

If I remember rightly- in Europe, at least in Germany, I think ladies traditionally wear their bands on their right hands?

Re: Does anyone wear there E ring and band on separate hands

My ering looks best alone. I occasionally wear an antique band with it but most of the time I wear my ering on the left and a five-stone on the right.

Re: Does anyone wear there E ring and band on separate hands

I never got married, but I've had an e-ring, and I bought myself plenty of solitaires and bands. Due to the fluctuations in size from heat and humidity, my rings get moved around on different fingers and hands. When my finger is leaner, I can wear more than one ring on it. When it is more puffy, I cannot. With my 0.40 solitaire, my 2.75 eternity looks very bulky. The eternity was supposed to have been a wedding band alternative. It's got MRB melee, so I don't wear it next to ANY of my solitaires now since I don't like to mix antique and moderns. I wear them on separate hands.

Wear whatever you're comfortable with, and what makes you happy!

Re: Does anyone wear there E ring and band on separate hands

If I'm out on my own, I will wear both together. If I'm out with DH, separately as he doesn't like the look of my band with my e-ring (which is a 10 year anniversary upgrade so not bought to match).

I get questioned a lot why I don't wear my band with my e-ring (have you split etc.) if I'm not with him .

Really? Nosey people! From your name I'm in the same area you're in. Not the London in Canada, right? ;) Most of my married friends ditch one of the other of their rings at some point. I saw a rather unusual combination on a friend who normally doesn't wear anything the other week. I notice because I love jewellery but wouldn't dare to question!

Re: Does anyone wear there E ring and band on separate hands

I wear mine on different hands.

Re: Does anyone wear there E ring and band on separate hands

I war my ering on my right hand and my eternity band on my left.....

Re: Does anyone wear there E ring and band on separate hands

My left hand is 1/2 size smaller than my right... so things that fit perfectly on my left hand don't fit over my knuckles on my right. So I don't do a lot of mixing it up. I have LHR's and RHR's and every now and then will wear the RHR on my left..but it's usually very loose.

Re: Does anyone wear there E ring and band on separate hands

I wear my e-ring on my right hand and my eternity band on my left. Both were bought sized for those hands as I knew I'd split them. I always knew I wanted an eternity band but also knew the eternity wouldn't look good with the e-ring I wanted. On occasion, people ask why I don't wear them together or ask me to show them what they look like together.

Damn right! No, not Canada - though I have relatives in Ontario and have visited several times. I'm ashamed to admit that I have an awful Harvey's Hamburger's addiction and (does this make me a bad person?!), would visit again just to get my fix, without visiting my relatives :o .

I live in a rural village in the UK where everybody likes to know everybody else's business. Nosey doesn't cover it. Worse, most are on FB! I've been "divorced AGAIN" at least a dozen times in the last few years  Seriously, though, it's more than a little depressing when my in-laws (not my biggest fans anyway) hear about my latest "split" from my lovely DH.

Re: Does anyone wear there E ring and band on separate hands

I usually wear my solitaire alone on my left hand, and I wear wedding bands when I go out, either with the solitaire or on my right hand, separately. I like my solitaire best by itself.

Re: Does anyone wear there E ring and band on separate hands

Thank you for all of the replies. I was wondering if I should get the matching band that is notched to fit snugly with the e ring (Vatche Swan) or just get a plain band and wear on the other hand. I like the idea of wearing the e ring alone though because the side detail is so pretty so I think I will do that.
